Nike Air Force One sizing varies?

I have a fairly old pair of AF1s that I love but they've always been one size too big for me (I got them cheap in the sale) so my feet look bigger than they really are (and I don't exactly have small feet anyway!)

I finally decided to treat myself to a new pair that actually fit. But AF1s are sold out in so many places. The best I could manage was getting a pair of AF1 Sage Lows in my usual Nike size (so a size smaller than my current too-big AF1s) but they're too small!!! My big toe is a little too far forward and they're okay for prancing around locally but they'll be too uncomfortable for lots of walking....which is the point really. No point having trainers that aren't actually comfy.

I have bought the same size (US 10) in Nike for 20 years and they also fit me like a dream. I can get away with US 9.5 but a US 10 is perfect. Apart from these damn Sages.

Has anyone else found there's a size difference with AF1 Sage or is it just me?

Has anyone tried the Shadow? They seem to be still available but I can't face another bad sizing experience.

So frustrating as returning them is a drama because of lockdown and they're sold out completely now. Looks like I may have to stick with my old ones and embrace the clown feet look.

I have shadows (love them btw) but I sized down half a size from a uk 6 to a 5.5.

Agree they run large I go down a size.

I have size eight feet and they still look large in size 7 only because it's quite a bulky design the platform sole doesn't help. My feet look a lot smaller in Vejas and I'm my regular size in those.

Thanks for all the replies. It really helps. I've re-tried the Sages and I think the 'problem' is that the toes are much more narrow than my other AF1s so that's why why toes feel cramped. The length is actually fine. I might given the Shadows after all your feedback, thank you.
