Having to give up on my russian hybrids in lockdown.
Want to try grow my thyroid ravaged natural lashes back (have ordered lash serum) and it will be back to mascara.
Trouble is I'm both oily and watery (dry eyes due to thyroid) Both break down mascara very quickly.
I'm guessing Korean tubing ones are the best for sebum/sweat proof? I remember using Kanebo yonks ago. But would be grateful for any names/ recommendations (NOT Benefit, Two Faced, YSL, Blinc, L'Oreal, Clinique, all are awful on me)
It's got to withstand me blinking loads, watering and being a bit oily
I don't use moisturiser around my eyes... I'm oily dehydrated, again because of thyroid imbalance

I only use tubing mascaras, and prefer the Estee Lauder double wear or Clinique lash power.
Double wear lasts longer than lash power IME.

Lash power gives me horrific panda eyes even if use just top lashes. I wonder if formula changed as years ago it was fine on me.
Well I use DW light foundation so maybe i should try the mascara,.,.

Another eye crinkles here
Def think you want a tubing mascara
I like Clinique but no7 in the gold tube also good

morelikeaclubsandwich · 07/05/2020 17:04

High impact curling (Clinique) is the one I use

morelikeaclubsandwich · 07/05/2020 17:06

Sorry drip feeding: you'd prob need to be careful/mega gentle taking off tubing mascaras if you're still worried about lash strength

Thecazelets · 07/05/2020 17:19

I have similar issues (and can never wear eyeliner, or mascara on my bottom lashes). DW is ok but dries up very quickly in the tube ime. I like the Hourglass one in the gold tube (have repurchased twice which is rare for me).

Just checked - it's called Caution Extreme Lash and I think you can get a travel size if you don't want to risk the full size version.

No7 works for me and I have issues with every other make. Use to use Blinc but they changed the formula and it was poor.

Thecazelets · 07/05/2020 17:24

Interestingly the blurb on the website bigs up the 'innovative' applicator brush, which I would have said was the only drawback - far too big and clumpy. Unlike the Clinique Lash Power brush, which is perfect.

I'll stop now!

alltoomuchrightnow · 08/05/2020 01:52

I've used all the Clinique and they give me shocking pandas

I have really oily skin and always end up with panda eyes. I asked a sales assistant in Sephora what was the best mascara to prevent that happening. She recommended Benefit's Better Than Sex. It was rubbish! I had panda eyes within an hour. It went straight in the bin.

I don't have any problems with Trish McEvoy mascara:

I also tried a travel size of Hourglass Caution Extreme Lash and was impressed it's staying power. A few little flakes (after a gym workout) but no panda eyes. I will definitely buy one when my current mascara stash runs out.

Not quite what you were asking but I’ve been using these for just over a month and my eyelashes have never looked better - gone from short and straight to long and curly. Not sure if it’s the eye serum or the cleansing oil (my nails are also growing without breaking - think that’s the oil)

I always end up with panda eyes. I found the best one is L’Oréal lash architect waterproof. I take it off with coconut oil and my lashes are really great and it never smudges plus it’s a bargain.
If only I could find a liquid or gel eyeliner that doesn’t move!

This. Probably cheaper on eBay
If the zombies come, this will be the only thing still existing on earth. It survived a funeral where I managed to cry off all my double wear foundation, I had no makeup remaining but my mascara

No7 in the gold tube. Stays put all day and comes off really easily with warm water.
