Nice face mask recommendations

I'm thinking ahead and wondering if face masks will be part of the long awaited ease of lockdown plan. I wear full PPE in work so am used to wearing masks but I obviously can't use the NHS masks at home. Has anyone bought or seen nice fabric masks online?

Sorry didnt read properly and see you want a made one. I know B and M had some.
If you do buy fabric there are lots of no sew mask instructions online.

Etsy, or your local FB covid page.

If mask wearing becomes a necessity it is going to be a nightmare. We need to await guidance on how to wear, use and dispose of them and what makes a mask suitable. A cloth mask will be of absolutely no benefit whatsoever ( except to the person selling the fabric). Please await official guidance. Very interesting to hear the advice of Dr Sarah Jarvis on Radio 2 ( Jeremy Vine 4th May)

Cloth masks are being used all around the world.
I am quite sceptical about their usefulness, beyond reassurance, but it really does look like they will be needed in the coming months and straightaway in Scotland.

trumpisaflump · 05/05/2020 13:26

@homemadecommunistrussia yes I'm in Scotland and face coverings have been recommended where we can't socially distance. I agree that the evidence seems poor. I work in a big, busy hospital and wear a fitted mask to covid ICU however when I'm in our busy canteen or office, no masks! So seems crazy that I'm considering one for the future. I'm just looking about just now to have one just in case.
