Flats - brogues or something else...

I need the collective hive mind!

I need a pair of smart-ish flats that can be worn both for work & play.

I tend to wear chino style trousers or a knee-length straight skirt @ work; slim leg jeans @ home. (I'm a style icon, I tell you!!). I'd like something reasonably sturdy as I do a lot of walking. I don't mind spending up to £80 for something decent that will last and take a bit of a beating.

So, am I doomed to wear the ubiquitous brogue, or can you find me something a bit more interesting...?

Office have some lovely leather and suede loafers in loads of different colours. Most are under your budget.

There are lots of nice platform options atm.

I have these chunky loafers from clarks but in a different colour

Usually wear them with cropped trousers or jeans rolled up, they also work with dresses and tights.

I love them and the sole seems pretty hard wearing, but the leather was very stiff at first so they took a while to wear in!
