Obi belt only for small waists?

Or hourglass shapes. I really like them but do they only suit small waists?

I’m short waisted and big boobed so unfortunately they do nothing for me. They work well on quite a range of shapes though

I am petite but thick of waist. I once bought an obi belt thinking ‘I’m thin, it’ll look ok’. Nope, it looked horrific. You really do need a tiny waist.

I think it needs a defined shape, but not necessarily skinny - I've not worn mine for a while but at a 16ish but with defined boobs/hip/waist they work will on me with the right dress
