Help to identify brand logo please

Hi just wondering if anyone recognises this brand logo. They are in a pair of shoes I picked up ages ago from a charity shop. They are well made shoes and the quality of the leather is very good so I imagine they wouldn’t have been super cheap (ie fast fashion brands) to buy originally.
I’ve put in two photos - these are the only logos or branding on the shoe.

Wow. I have looked and they do resemble some of the older Balenciaga logos. I didn’t even thing of them as I was only aware of the more intricate BB logo with all the lines overlapping at the centre on the B.

I only paid £2 for them so it’s a bit of a bargain if they are Balenciaga. I just liked the shoe style and they were comfortable. They are square toe loafer style shoes with a small block heel so good ‘sensible’ shoes. I think they are probably from the 90’s as they have that feeling and look to them.

As someone who works in luxury fashion, I'm personally doubtful that they're Balenciaga due to the appearance of the logo and the heel embossing. Is there anything written on the sole or inside the shoe?

Kittensinspace - on the inside on the inner side of the shoes it has 26 FHS 11409 39 printed and that’s it. The rest is just plan black leather. I could put on a photo of the entire shoe if that would help.

Older Balenciaga shoes usually have a label sewn into the inside, as well as 'Balenciaga' embossing to the sole of the shoe: you can see here.

11409 is likely a model number, unsure about 26 and FHS though.

There are little rectangular marks inside on the footbed where I imagine a label was at some point. Nothing there now unfortunately. Anyway I have added a photo of the entire shoe. I’m not super fussed what brand they are. I like the shoes. I was just curious because they do have a logo/ branding an I couldn’t figure out what it was.
