Bleach blonde ladies - what are your plans?

I usually have a full head of blonde highlights but I’ve had for so long it pretty much looks like full colour now...so of course have some awful lockdown roots!

What are you ladies planning on doing with your hair temporarily / long term? Even after lockdown is relaxed I’m not sure whether I feel comfortable going to the salon as it seems a very high risk environment. I debated using a mobile hairdresser but even then she’s been in close, prolonged contact with many other people.

I’ve got some root spray for now which is actually better than I thought but debating going darker or attempting a DIY root smudge. My hairdresser warned me not to try and dye it blond myself as said my roots would go ginger....

My hair was the same and I tried to bleach the roots. Yep they went ginger Grin I ended up dyeing it back to my natural colour but I was getting bored of the blonde anyway.
I advise you to either live with the roots until it's safe to get them done or go darker, but definitely no bleach!

I’m in the same position, but my last appointment before lockdown I have balayage so it is growing out without a straight line at the roots.

I wouldn’t ever attempt to put anything on the roots myself. My hair is dark brown so I don’t think I could lift the colour out properly.

I think when hairdressers are open I’ll check out what safety measures they have in place and hopefully go from there. Alternatively I have been meaning to try the hairdresser Mark Anderson who is recommend on here. He works from his home so that seems less risky to me.

I am.taking the opportunity to go darker!.Have cleared it with hairdresser friend who says avoide Wella and SX? and Ash shades!

i saw my hairdresser in the street last week - he told me on pain of death Grin to leave my hair alone, it wont hurt having dark roots for a while even though I dont like them and it will cost money if I bugger up the colour and he has to fix it, I have a full head of bleached almost to white hair.

I haven’t tried it but esalon do a highlight kit www.esalon.co.uk/hair-highlights-set

You use a brush for a balayage effect.
I’ve just watched the video on how to do and it looks doable.
