I’ve read so many threads on this product but am truly lost on what percentage to use, when to use, I have to be careful in sun?

Can anyone break down to:
What percent retinol do I buy as a beginner?
When do I use?
What precautions do I need to take?
Can you use anything else at other times ?

I follow what the Pampered Wolf does. I sound like I'm promoting her, but honestly that was how I figured out what to do. Check our her Ordinary videos. You start low with retinol. I found having a routine with the Ordinary products made a massive difference to hold old my skin looks. I use several things from their range.

I’m currently using The Ordinary Retinol 0.2% in Squalane, which is supposed to treat fine lines, photo damage and general skin ageing. I prefer it to the Retinoid emulsion because it is clear (it’s silicone free but I think the Retinoid might be too) and a good one to start with. Especially because the 2% Retinoid is hard to get hold of currently.

I will be using it until it runs out and then go to the 0.5% one. I currently use it twice a week at night after my cleanse and I rub it on my forehead, cheeks and nose.

I’m currently wearing a 30spf face cream due to lockdown but I have a 50spf in the form of Heliocare that I normally wear out and about.
