Can you tell me - what is their sizing like, and are they the kind of brand where a style is for one season and then replaced, or do things come back?

Ive never bought from them before and I’ve spotted a coat that I think is just what I need and a style I’ve not seen quite the same elsewhere. It’s pretty much sold out (understandably for a winter coat as it’s May!) and not available in the colour and size I think I’d want. Any chance it will return this winter?

I don't have any of their clothes but I do have the Janelle coat. I work in a seaside place in the North and it keeps me dry. Best coat I've ever had. I'm a trim 12 with a large bust and I buy a 12 in the coats. I do the poppers up at the back. Then I can put a thin fleece under as well. I took the plunge and washed the Janelle with Nikwax and it's perfect.

Thanks all, I think I’m going to wait for autumn as sounds like the style will be back. Will probably go for 12 as I’ll want a jumper under it

Thanks @Potionqueen helpfully I like things long, so only really get occasional jeans in petite. I wear long dresses most of the time so one of the appeals of this coat is it would be long!

I have the Janelle coat and it is great. I'm a size 10 and my coat is a 10. It is roomy...so you could size down. However, they have been doing this coat for years so I'm sure it will be back in the autumn.

I’m short too and usually take a couple of sizes smaller in Seasalt as their sizing is generous. They used to do a Breton tunic that was a great dress for me.

Joyfulincolour · 01/05/2020 23:26

Check eBay. I’ve just bought a new Seasalt dress from last summer that was £25 instead of £70.

Another good thing about their website is that they give detailed measurements, including lengths, for each individual garment. So, although I find some variation in size between styles, it’s usually pretty easy to know which of the two sizes I buy from them to choose in each particular case. Very good customer service too, as PPs have said.

I used to work for seasalt in their Bath shop it was one of the nicest places I have ever worked. Everyone was lovely we were treated well, i loved it there, was a sad fay when i left. I know this doesn't answer your question but i always like to shop at nice places Smile

polyhymnia · 02/05/2020 01:12

Btw, Lolalovesroses that code wouldn’t work for me just now. Am I doing something wrong?

On their shops, I only know the one in Lewes but all the people serving there are helpful and delightful- a pleasure to visit ( back in the day!).

paininthepoinsettia · 02/05/2020 01:56

Not what you asked but I invested in the Janelle and I love it, I feel very polished in it. Never spent so much on a coat but it's totally worth it.

BuffaloCauliflower · 02/05/2020 08:57

@Ffsseriously I like to too, that’s good to know! Smile

@polyhymnia code didn’t work for me either I think it’s out of date

Good to know @paininthepoinsettia I do think good costs are worth investing in
