Superdry sizing

To anyone's knowledge does it come up small?
I'm a large ish 12 (losing weight though) but prefer hoodies and sweatshirts to be oversized.
Should I go for a Large?
Thanks

I think Large would be a good choice!

Sparkletastic · 30/04/2020 21:13

Comes up pretty small

WellTidy · 30/04/2020 21:14

Super dry is a narrow fit too in my experience

JollyGiraffe12 · 30/04/2020 21:18

I’m a similar size to you (pear shaped) and I have a large which is lovely and roomy

BittersweetMemories · 30/04/2020 21:19

In my experience Suoerdry run very small - my DP who is usually an XL has to get the XXXL from there (and not everything even comes in XXXL¡)

NoLongerAnEasyTarget · 30/04/2020 21:21

I've always found they run small too.

OhCobblers · 30/04/2020 22:00

Thank you all - size L it is!

It's tiny.

MoltonSilver · 30/04/2020 23:28

Definitely at least L Maybe even XL. It's teen sizing.

Tootletum · 30/04/2020 23:29

I wouldn't say it's tiny but I got an M hoody and if feels rather snug after four weeks sat on my arse. I'm usually a 10.

lottieloop · 01/05/2020 14:24

Superdry are tiny sizing. I'm a size 10 usually & always order a large in their tops/ hoodies.
They tend to be really tight under arms / armpit area too.

PhoneLock · 01/05/2020 16:37

Superdry are tiny sizing.

I'm surprised at this. I'm a 6 and go for XXS in Superdry. XS in practically everything else.

Tootletum · 01/05/2020 17:33

@phonelock you must love the sales then! It's always the 6s of the most beautiful things that are left on the rack!

Tillytess · 01/05/2020 17:51

Im usually a 12 and Superdry winter coat had to get a 16. However, just bought a size 12 hoody and its huge! Maybe its meant to be a roomy fit??

PhoneLock · 01/05/2020 18:16

@Tootletum

I only ever buy Superdry secondhand off Ebay. I've never been inside one of their shops.

Come sale time, maybe I should. Thanks. Smile

lottieloop · 01/05/2020 18:22

I think their hoodies are slightly more roomy fitting but I too bought a coat ( usually size 10 ) I bought a 12 & even that's a bit of a squeeze fitting wise.

PegasusReturns · 01/05/2020 18:28

Come up very small in my experience particularly on the hops where they’re narrow.

PegasusReturns · 01/05/2020 18:32

I'm surprised at this. I'm a 6 and go for XXS in Superdry. XS in practically everything else

I’m surprised by this! I remember buying DD a hoody when she was a teeny 11 year old and the XXS was tight on her - I think I posted about my outrage on here Grin

5 years later she’s a size 4 most places and still takes at least a small.

Tootletum · 01/05/2020 18:36

@PhoneLock have a look at the website, less than half price and some lovely stuff that's only left in a 6

JMG1234 · 01/05/2020 18:57

I would have historically said their sizes are small. But my recent order was the opposite, across several different style of tops. I've previously taken a large in hoodies etc but I've ended up with an XS and even that was big. Appreciate that styles change and it's obviously meant to be baggy but maybe worth bearing in mind.

Terralee · 01/05/2020 19:10

I'm a G cup (but size 12/14 on the rest of me) and found that I had to buy a man's hoody for it to zip up!! It's in dark pink though so not obviously a man's.

Weird because I can do up size 12 River Island coats.
However on buying a button up black cotton dress in Topshop only the 16 would fit across my chest.
I'm a Large in Zara for cardis/ button up dresses.
In Gap I'm a Large in their zip up hoodies.
But I do think Superdry seems to come up small.

Amanduh · 01/05/2020 20:12

It’s tiny. Used to work for them in head office at customer service when at uni and that was 95% of my day - people complaining about sizing. They work to what they call a ‘fashion fit’ and you need to size up for your usual size, and even then it’s still on the slim side.

PixiKitKat · 01/05/2020 20:18

I find them quite true to size. I'm a 14 and have XL in joggers and knickers. I don't know about the rest of their clothes though.

ThanksForAllTheFish · 02/05/2020 13:13

The hoodies are tiny in my opinion. My DD is 10. Wears age 10-11 clothes and is pretty skinny. She can fit in XS super dry hoodies. My mum bought her one and it’s fits her fine, the sleeves are a little long but other than that it fits and isn’t too wide. I would say it’s a size 2-4.
