You can only keep one beauty product...

It's my birthday in a few weeks and I'm a little depressed that I won't be able to spend it with my extended family soooo... I've taken the challenge into my own hands and have decided to order a number of things scheduled to be delivered to me on my birthday!!

But what shall I order?

If you were only allowed to keep just ONE beauty/make up product from your drawers and dressing tables which would it be and why?!!!

I have the superdrops! They're fab!

BeaLola · 03/05/2020 00:42

Hard question OP but for me - and I don't think I'm bending the rules here as to me its beauty but Perfume every time - luxury, feels indulgent , makes me feel finished and the scent makes me recall favourite memories

Confining myself just to one though - very hard!

DeRigueurMortis · 03/05/2020 02:44

I have dry skin.

Have used every moisturiser under the sun (including super expensive products like La Mer).

Nothing beats the M&S ultimate sleep cream.

It's not cheap but neither is it expensive.

Other favourites:

  • hourglass caution mascara
  • Charlotte Tilbury magic away concealer
  • stilla convertible colour (for lips and cheeks)
  • Bobbi brown gel eye liners

Finally you will need to prize my hourglass ambient light palate from my cold dead hands (2 powders, 2 x blush, 1x bronzer and 1x highlighter).

Anthilda · 03/05/2020 10:23

Face cream, although I hate not wearing mascara but face cream is an absolute necessity, I hate my skin feeling tight and dry.

SneakersandSocks · 03/05/2020 10:29

Kiehls avocado eye cream - you only need a tiny amount, each pot lasts me about 3 months, it makes my under eyes feel plump and firm and I look more awake!

Deathraystare · 03/05/2020 10:43

Only one? What fresh hell is this???!! Well, ok a brow pencil. Bastard eyebrows have disappeared. Wish I knew this would happen when I plucked them :( Where do eyebrows go to??!!) Not loyal to any brand, have Avon Glimmersticks, Avon Mark, Soap and Glory, Rimmel , Boots - anything really.

TheCanterburyWhales · 03/05/2020 11:42

Just remembered something else I will never ever change apart from my beloved Pump n Volume!
Clinique quickliner in blue grey. It looks on the website like a Princess Diana throwback bright blue eyeliner but it's not! It's s soft dark grey with an almost invisible hint of blue- it just brings out the blue in your own eyes. If I'd seen it on the website I'd have laughed and run away but I read about it on here and I'm now on my third.

Candlesonthetable · 03/05/2020 15:45

For me it's neostrata sheer physical protection - a tinted spf that protects me from the sun, evens out my blotchy skin tone and doesn't break me out. I wear it every single day, am never without it. It's not cheap, but it's worth ever penny after I struggled for years to find an spf that didn't give me spots, leave me looking bright white, or give me a greasy film over my face.

Terralee · 03/05/2020 17:10

Clinique Superfine liner for brows in soft blonde

Fightthebear · 03/05/2020 17:27

www.olay.co.uk/en-gb/skin-care-products/total-effects-7in1-touch-of-sunshine-moisturiser-50ml

Olay Touch of Sunshine - turns my grey/red skin into a even tone with a slight glow.

Imdabest1 · 03/05/2020 18:25

Too faced better than sex mascara

Imdabest1 · 03/05/2020 18:30

Ohhh and i forgot i couldnt ever live with out my huda beauty highlighter bronze sands edition. And mac waterproof foundation

Hairydogmummy · 03/05/2020 22:47

@DeRigueurMortis you are so right with the M and S sleep cream! I got a few in the sale for £11 in Jan. Best bargain ever!

Purpleberet · 04/05/2020 10:15

I ask myself this question a lot and my answer changes all the time!

If I could really only keep one thing I think I'd choose blush, it makes my skin look so much healthier and takes the attention from under eye bags 😂 I use it over my nose and temples not just my cheeks. Currently loving armani sheer fluid and I just got some glossier cloud paints which are great.

I really love my hourglass ambient lighting palette too, that comes a close second.

MadamShazam · 04/05/2020 10:22

One makeup product would be Nars Deep Throat blusher. Takes years off my face and is really flattering.
One skin care product, I think a big pot of Nivea Soft. I use it all over and could absolutely not live without it.

MadamShazam · 04/05/2020 10:23

Oh and if I could add a 3rd, Vaseline Rosy Lips tin.

Ski37 · 04/05/2020 21:36

Revitalash- I was very sceptical but bought some when they had a discount. My lashes are much longer and thicker after 6 weeks use and I no longer wear mascara at work. People have even started to comment on the length and ask me what mascara I’m using! When the tube I’ve got finally runs out I may look at some of the cheaper versions available but I do think it’s probably worth the money for me.
