Very temp hair colour

I have a sort of brownish blondish hair colour goes lighter in the sun. Guess you could say it's a 'dirty blonde'. I really want to put either a brown or deep red colour to see what it looks like and thought lockdown could be a good time where I don't have to go out.

I'm looking for a very temporary dye that will last only a week or so and won't ruin my hair colour.

Is there such a thing?

Shamelessly bumping

Most red will hang around a while and possibly leave you with a pinkish tone for a while, even if it is a wash out temporary dye. Not sure about brown. My DD has a similar hair colour to you. Last year (over summer holidays) we put an 8 wash pink dye in her hair and it took months and months to completely go. It faded to barely noticeable after two months but you could still see a faint pink tinge in sunlight at Christmas time.

I do remember years ago (in the 90’s) buying coloured hair mousse that showed up reasonably well in hair and washed out fast. 3/4 washes and it was gone. I haven’t seen it around in a long time. Maybe you can still buy it online or somewhere like Sallys but I can’t say I’ve looked.

I’ve got the wash out colour conditioner from Superdrug which is ok for a quick fix. My hair is dark and I use it to cover greys between dye jobs and it’s close to my ‘natural’ colour. Not sure what it would be like on lighter hair.

Oh link fail. It’s called Colour Effects.

Thanks all. I didn't think there would be such a thing to be honest.

Guess I'm just worried I'll do it and hate it 😂

The Superdrug colour effects is great but only just adds a tone in my dirty blonde hair even if I leave it on much longer. Definitely not permanent but very natural looking.

I’ve recently used a Maria Nila colour conditioner in pink pop which has more longevity but does wash out eventually. She does browns and reds and you can mix them together.

Bleach London colours are good and fairly temporary, although the red will hang around longer than other shades.
