Hair dye alternative

Hi, I've been dying my hair for years and want to stop.
Is there such a product that I could shampoo in, the colour would last a couple of weeks.... So basically a shampoo that contains colour.... That can also cover grey?

This is what I want! I currently have a combination of natural roots (mid chestnut brown) some bleached blonde highlights and some faded lowlights.

What I would like to get to is my natural colour with the lightest sprinkle of highlights. It's going to look grim growing out unless I can find a temporary colour to cover.

So basically a shampoo that contains colour.... That can also cover grey?

nobody would bother to dye if covering grey was as easy as a wash and go!

There are quite a few shampoos that enhance colour but they definitely won't cover grey.
