Insuring your Mulberry Handbag

Chicinwellies · 29/04/2020 15:09

I have been given a mulberry dorset large tote, with all the paperwork and authenticity. I don't want to ask how much it was as received it some time ago and have never used it. How much are they worth now in terms of insurance? Thanks

I wouldn't think they'd be worth much! A couple of hundred?

I have one and certainly wouldn’t bother insuring it! Don’t get me wrong they are beautiful but I think just take care of it really I’m not sure insurance is the way to go

I have quite a few expensive bags and don't insure any of them individually. I just make sure my overall contents insurance is sufficient.

Dorset totes are a couple of hundred at most. Beautiful bags (I have one) but not worth insuring separately so use and enjoy it. What colour do you have?

thethoughtfox · 29/04/2020 17:20

They don't increase in value like Chanel bags.

I've got loads, I wouldn't dream of insuring them

You can name it on your home insurance if the replacement cost is greater than your general limit, like you can do with expensive jewellery

HailHydra · 29/04/2020 17:29

I have one bag that I have insured, but it cost a lot more than a Mulberry. They're lovely, but very mass market, so I doubt they'd be worth insuring.

But thinking about it, there are some brilliant Mulberry FB groups. I'm sure they'd be able to advise you properly
