Uni is up in the air with whats going on. Shes into her art but doesnt talk much these days. She likes art deco inspired jewellery but wont wear rings. She doesnt want money! It had three days to arrive. Any ideas? Shes an Urban Outfitters kind of person.

Before reading the full post, I was going to suggest a classic, plain gold or silver bracelet? Earrings?

A voucher for an experience she can use once lockdown finishes. Obviously depending what she is onto- cooking class, cocktail making class, life drawing intro class, a voucher for an art shop, calligraphy set? A friend was given a taxidermy class for her birthday and stuffed a squirrel- obviously not for everyone though!

Personalised photo frame from amazon? I got an engraved one and the recipient can put a pic in it? Something like 'Happy 18th Sally, Love aunty EachandEveryone'

An 18 year old who doesn't want money is a rare find!
I suspect if she's told everyone she doesn't want money then everyone will default to jewellery so personally I'd go for something else.
Designer sunglasses? An urban outfitters voucher?

I gave my niece 18 little useful presents, so a £10 iTunes voucher, a lip balm, a USB memory stick for uni, etc.

Oliver Bonas have some lovely vases, jewellery boxes etc.

Urban Outfitters do nice salt lamps, if that's something that might appeal.

A Kanken bag in a colour she likes? Might be a budget blower though. A chilly drinks bottle in a cool print?

An unban outfitters voucher or maybe one of those expensive water bottles that crowd all like. Hydro Flask I think. Or something like a pair of dr martens but they can be pricey.

Ahh watching . My DD is nearly 18 , I asked her for some pointers . My DD is usually writing her Lists for Birthday and Christmas .
This year , with everything going on with The World and Exams / No Exams she has no clue
And yes , it'll need to be online .

Urban Outfitters (the shop) is my idea of Hell, but DD loves it .

She's had -
Jeans (BDG brand)
Sweatshirts
Underwear
Some really nice padded coats
Phone covers
Catci Grin
Mario Badescu facecare

I am thinking of buying her some little random things , a Gift Voucher (probably UO) and.......... I have no idea.

Oh she has a rucksack ( Fjallraven Kanken) very £ but lasting well .

brusselsprouting · 29/04/2020 23:44

A Polaroid camera? The fujifilm instax aren't too pricey and a good few shops sell them so hopefully would arrive in time

longcoffee · 29/04/2020 23:48

I bought my 18yo sister a mini printer that syncs with your phone for Christmas - she loves it. Spent ages working out which of her hundreds of selfies to print... was an amazon job.

There is a brand of modern acrylic Art Deco jewellery called Toolally that John Lewis sell. Example pic attached. Would that suit her? JL delivery times are good at the mo

Personalised leather make up bag with her initials on it. Find on Etsy amongst other places.

She loves the necklace I bought her with her birthstone from Rachel Jackson. My sister said she’s never seen her so animated 😀
