Lockdown weight gain

I have put on a stone during this lock down 😳 It didn't bother me until today, and my favourite jeans are a little snug. So I took this pic of myself to force myself to stop the flab encroachment. It's not just about vanity, I'm Indian, and diabetes type 2 is more of a risk at a lower bmi than for Caucasians. At the moment my bmi is 24.
But I am in need of a kick up my now bigger posterior, to cut back on the wine and crisps (pringles 😭). And move more. I'm 54, and do actually weight train and run. So it's not that, although it's difficult keeping my steps high enough. It's food.
So how bad does it look?

Is this a joke HmmConfused. You've got a great figure

IAmLegendaryExtra · 28/04/2020 20:47

I’ve put on about 5kgs and I am bigger than you so you’re certainly not alone.

sneakythecat71 · 28/04/2020 20:49

I'm slowly losing it as no takeaways nights in the pub etc. I'm aiming to look like that

ANoiseAnnoys · 28/04/2020 20:50

Only you know what weight you are comfortable at and I agree that eating crap and drinking wine makes you feel crap. So if you do it, do it for your general well-being.

You have a healthy bmi and look great (I’m 40 and don’t have a figure anywhere near as toned as yours) so you’ve nothing to worry about looks-wise imo. But obviously eating lots of fresh, healthy food and doing a bit of exercise will improve your overall health.

I've lost some weight during lockdown and I wish I looked like you! Lol! You need a better bra though.

You have a lovely, toned, well proportioned figure and don’t look as if you need to lose any weight at all. However I get that you’re used to being slimmer and don’t want to gain more. Just make small changes, less wine and pringles rather than none - these things are necessities!

I weighed myself this morning and have gained 3kgs. This is enough that none of my clothes feel comfy. Time to deal with it.

I'm going to climb snowden over the rest of the week. with my stairs, that equates to climbing the stairs 329 times. Figured this is a good start...
