Trainers for dresses

Hello all, it's time I invested in some nice trainers to wear with nice dresses/shorts this summer. I don't want to buy cheap but equally don't want to pay silly money. I know nothing about these except my friend said veja which look expensive tbh.

Make suggestions to me please!

Any trainers are fine , I personally wear flat ish / low profile ones rather than athletic/ running ones as I'm short and they shorten my legs even more .. I work in fashion and for work I wear plain basic ones for primark as they get a lot of wear and scuffs etc.. I pretty much always go for white with dresses as they are cleaner and go with all colours .

These are fab , I always go for the comfy padding at the back as if it's hard they rub my heels .

I find Veja are really uncomfortable. I'm sticking with my Nike AF1s as they're super-comfy.

I'd say if you don't know / aren't into the expensive trainer culture, any white trainer style shoe from a high street shop will be lovely with dresses and shorts. I have a pair and a pair of white "converse style" from new look. Super comfy and cheap!

@oohnicevase I've got those and they are indeed comfy.

I have lots of different trainers but the ones that go with most outfits are my Reebok Classics

I've got Stan Smiths - horrible for the first week, and then lovely and comfortable -and cheap because I can get kids' ones!

I live in trainers, love sketchers & I like the look of them with my long pleated skirts.

I second the Superga - I live in them!
I have the glitter rose gold ones and they look amazing with dresses

I wear my Stan smiths with everything!

I prefer the ‘flatform’ sneakers with dresss/skirts. Preferably no laces. Maybe a strap across the front in a contrasting colour.

Trinny always gets the sneakers w dresses spot on. Maybe look at her YouTube playlists for tips? The wardrobe styling ones, not the skincare/makeup ones.
