Colourless foundation

I never seem to buy the correct shade for me. I keep seeing this "adjusts to your tone" foundation advertised on FB and thinking about treating myself, but it's not cheap.

Has anyone else purchased it with success stories?!

Not sure which one you've seen OP but no7 do one that 'adapts to your skin' that comes in light/medium/dark. I've used it in the past and it was good iirc.

I have the no.7 and it's really good! Another one I have is a cheap one called TLM which I actually got on groupon. One thing I would say about them is that they have quite a light coverage.

TerrorWig · 28/04/2020 17:41

I have tried adaptable ones before - they’re better now, but they get confused with my redness.

My advice would be to embrace your natural skin and buy something more sheer than you normally would. They’re more forgiving formulas.

DarkDarkNight · 28/04/2020 17:50

I have tried adaptable foundations in the past but they have never suited me. The ones I’ve used have been too orange.

How about a poreless primer to perfect and smooth without colour? Or a complexion corrector that’s quite sheer and more forgiving?

HelloTerrance · 28/04/2020 17:52

A good primer and a tinted moisturise might do it if your skin isn't too bad to start with?
I haven't tried the colour adapt foundation so watching with interest.

i like the tlm one but only when skin is clear, its gives a nice finish but not great coverage but depends on your skin tone

Simonfromharlow · 28/04/2020 17:59

id say the tlm one is more like a bb cream.

Whattodowhattodooo · 28/04/2020 19:55

It's TLM that I have seen on FB. Couldnt remember the name!!

I have very dry skin, so buying foundation is just a complete ball ache!

I think the tlm is cheap enough to give it a go tbh

chipsandpeas · 29/04/2020 08:57

i feel the tlm one is quite moiturising and leaves me with a dewy finish - i wore it a lot last summer

Whattodowhattodooo · 30/04/2020 09:12

I ordered yesterday. £26 for 3 bottles. I'm quite happy to lose £26 if it's crap! Will update!

I was suckered in. Comes in a cheap bottle with a pump not strong enough for the thick pasty gloop in the bottle. Doesn't change colour and doesn't smell like something you want to put on your face.
