I haven't worn makeup in months.

Is anyone still wearing makeup and getting dressed? I think I will start my usual routine starting tomorrow, to see if it makes a difference in my mood.

Any thoughts?

I feel though I don't have to get dressed like I did pre-lockdown, it has made me fatter and less motivated to be healthy in leggings everyday without doing my hair and face.

I would not go out without makeup before. Now I haven't worn it in weeks. I definitely won't be wearing it again for a long time as I don't really like the feel of it.
I dyed my hair a couple of days ago and husband gave it a bit of a trim.
Wear PJ bottoms and a smartish t shirt every day plus a bit of jewellery.

I think I'm going to do a full face tomorrow to see if it lift my mood a bit!

I’ve put most of my makeup away for now and siphoned off a small “lockdown makeup bag”. I like to put something on, not much but a little makes me feel better.

My routine is origins tinted moisturiser ( v light), beauty pie clear powder, mascara, boy brow and maybe some highlighter or bronzer if I feel like it. Takes a couple of minutes.

Oh, and I always wear perfume.

marvellousmaplesyrup · 28/04/2020 13:42

Haven't worn make up since the lockdown but religiously moisturising etc twice a day. Skin feels amazing.

Don't think I'll wear as much make up daily when the world goes back to normal. It's only now I've realised how much I actually wore!

Quarantimespringclean · 28/04/2020 13:48

I put on bronzer, blusher and some eye make up today. Still wearing trackies but I put a nicer jumper on. I look and feel so much better for it.

Iwalkinmyclothing · 28/04/2020 13:53

I am still going to work, so yes. But I tend to put a bit of makeup on most days anyway, whether I have plans to go anywhere or not. DH thinks it's funny but it's my face so I will do what I like to it :)

ALovelyBitOfSquirrel · 28/04/2020 13:58

I've always worn a "full face" for work and I did for the first couple of weeks of being home but the last three weeks I've not worn any make up and it feels fantastic! No doubt I'll go straight back to wearing it when I go back to work but it's a nice change.

BobbinThreadbare123 · 28/04/2020 16:21

I've been putting on a tinted moisturiser with SPF in it, so I can sit in the sun. Also hides my scarred face so I don't frighten myself when I pass mirrors. I haven't been bothering with my jewellery but I am trying to dress in a tidy but still elasticated manner.

Sparklyring · 28/04/2020 17:50

I wash my hair and put mascara & blusher on every day. Definitely makes me feel more motivated!

VioletCharlotte · 28/04/2020 21:25

I wear a little bit, concealer under my eyes, as I always have black rings. Brows, bit of mascara, blusher. This is basically my 'weekend' make up. I've stopped bothering with foundation and eyeliner.

I feel too scruffy if I don't wear any makeup at all.

indemMUND · 28/04/2020 21:29

I've only put it on to go shopping. About 4 times since lockdown. It takes 40 minutes to do. I'm loving being make up free day by day and the eczema on my face is finally clearing up.

cressyeggy · 28/04/2020 21:39

I put some on today as it was a family members birthday. I felt sooo much brighter!

I'm doing a lot of zoom calls to family/friends and I look a fright without make up on, so I think I'm going to do it more often.

Anything for a little pick me up that's not more food.

StarlightLady · 29/04/2020 07:31

Every morning! Even on days with no video meetings, it’s part of my feel good factor. And usually a work dress. Underwear, often an optional extra at the moment though!

So make up yes! Knickers less so!

Costacoffeeplease · 29/04/2020 07:47

I’m disabled and don’t go out normally so lockdown is much the same for me. I do, however, wear full make up and get dressed every day. Usually just jeans/leggings and a top, and now that we’re coming into summer it will be sleeveless dresses (I’m not in the uk). So as lockdown is not far from my normal life I’ve carried on the same

geojojo · 29/04/2020 08:03

I haven't worn it since lockdown was announced. Still go out for walks and to the shops everyday but obviously no one gets very close! Am going to treat myself to some new makeup with all the money saved before lockdown is lifted!
