I'm currently in lockdown with my parents. DM is 92 and has her hair styled at home once a week. Of course this isn't possible at present but my efforts have been a dismal failure. I don't style my own hair, which is completely different to hers. Mine's like a hedge and I just get it cut to shape. Hers is much finer and straight. It needs curling and sort of swooshing up from her forehead.
I tried to buy what used to be called setting lotion but couldn't find any. I got some styling spray stuff and had a go.
My first attempt ended up looking a bit like a sort of horizontal mohican. My second and subsequent attempts have left her looking like a baby owl. The only good thing is that we both really roared with laughter. She looks so sweet and silly.
Can any of you experts offer advice? Foolproog tips Or recommend how-to videos? I'm so crap at this. Thanks for any help.
