Work/gym bag

I've decided that I need a new work bag to streamline my stuff when I eventually go back to work and the gym rather than carrying several bags each day! But it seems like an impossible task! It needs to

  • have a padded laptop pocket
  • have a separate section for trainers and sweaty gym gear
  • be a backpack (heavy tote bags are no good for my back)
  • have an external water bottle pocket
  • be smart enough to go with a suit

Happy to spend up to £100, but finding one that ticks all these boxes is proving tricky!

I think this bag fits everything you are looking for? x

I have one of the totes from sweaty Betty which is perfect-£95

You could put your gym kit in a drawstring bag at the bottom of a rucksack? Is there scope for leaving some kit at the gym (shoes etc)?

Thanks @sleepismysuperpower1 that ticks all the boxes except the smartness one. Will see what else they have in that range 👍

Thanks @westr I did look at sweaty Betty but I need a backpack not a tote due to back issues unfortunately

Thanks @Teabaseddiet I could use a separate bag, it's more the smell I'd worry about (I'm a sweater!). Also it's difficult to gauge online whether bags are big enough for that purpose.

Sweaty Betty do backpacks

Teabaseddiet · 29/04/2020 00:18

The best backpack I bought was by sturdy by design - it was huge, had a laptop sleeve, pockets etc. I have big feet so trainers often don't fit in regular backpacks without taking up all the space - they were fine in here.

I put worn gym/swimwear in a drawstring bag, with some shoe bananas in my trainers to stop them smelling - fine all day!

I'm a sweaty Betty fan. But avoid that backpack. The flap top doesn't stay down if there is anything heavier than a Kit Kat in the bag Hmm

However I have this and love it. Got it in teal. Can't see that available now though.
