Wash out funky colour for 12yo DD with brown hair?

My daughter wants to dye her hair pink now that school is closed. What colour do you recommend that will (a) wash out completely and (b) look good and not ‘muddy’ on medium brown hair?

I read that Loreal Colorista doesn’t wash out completely. She doesn’t want blue or dark purple.

Thank you

I’m a serial rainbow hair junkie and in my experience, I’m afraid, you won’t get proper pink on brown without bleach. In fact you won’t really get any proper pop of colour on brown with a temp hair colour. You could try hair wax or the coloured sprays? Or coloured har clip in extensions? Sorry but rainbow colours need to be applied to very pale blonde - white. Even then they fade extremely quickly and take a lot of up keep.

Live hair dyes but do the patch test first. We only added colour to the ends of the hair incase it needed to be trimmed off.
We used a permanent dye but after 2 weeks it's really faded.

I’ve just used Maria Nila pink pop (conditioner) on dark blonde hair and it turned it a browny rose gold (which was actually similar to what I was after but I wasn’t expecting it to go as mousey as it did) so avoid that I’d you are looking for a vibrant pink. The most vibrant was where my hair is sun lightened blonde so I’d say you’d need to lighten considerably first.

Thank you for the very helpful replies. Can she go for blue then? And what brand / type do you buy that will actually completely wash out in a fee washes?

My daughter currently has a permanent dye on the bottom 3 or 4 inches of her mid brown hair on the condition that she’ll have it cut before she goes back to school.
We used one of the only ones we could get on amazon. On blonde hair it would be purple but on hers it’s a cherry sort of colour. She’s pleased with it
