Where do you shop ? How do you describe your style? How old are you?

I'm a short arse (5'4") but size 20-22 with big boobs and belly. I find anything baggy just makes me look massive so I usually wear leggings or jeggings with a long vest (Asda do a good 2 pack for £6) and a shorter v neck jumper or top over. It's a throwback to the old Trinny and Susannah tip of layering to hide the chub! I usually buy my leggings from Tesco but joined Fabletics for a few months and got a good deal on some nice jazzy leggings I wear with plain vests/tops for a more casual look.

I also have some nice patterned wide leg jersey trousers from Next (are they called palazzo pants?) that I wear a plain mans tshirt with (Asda) and can tuck in and pull it out a wee bit so it's not tight but not baggy either IYSWIM. I wear the mens tshirts untucked with patterned jersey harem trousers from Tesco too that are slimmer fit - see pic of todays chill out outfit! The trousers are Tesco and the tshirt is Asda mens XXL. Note: I am also 33 weeks pregnant!

I like a maxi dress too. I wear the style that cuts in under the boob then skims down to the floor so not hugging the belly. I have a couple from Monsoon and always have to get them taken up so they might be a good length for you taller lassies. For these, or maxi skirts, I need long knicks as I get thigh rub so would recommend Big Bloomers or Amazon for the ones like cycling shorts! :)

I am 6ft 2 and a size 18-20. I carry most of my weight on my stomach (work in progress), classic apple shape, so I tend to wear dresses. I play with colour a lot so navy dresses with mustard tights etc. I love accessories as they always fit.

I do always tend to be a bit more dressed up though as I find wearing say jeans and a t shirt makes me look a bit snobby and it isn't hugely flattering

I've ordered some v-neck (long length) tshirts from Evans. Hope they turn out ok.

Also remembered some wide leg trousers for work (with pockets!) from Sainsbury's.

I have a couple of stretchy blazers from New Look too - from the non-plus size range, but the size 18 fits fine.

@ClientQ

What size are you if you don’t mind my asking? You don’t look at all plus size to me. And I love the outfit on the left!

ClientQ · 27/04/2020 11:52

@Stinkyjellycat usually a 14-16 bottom and 16-18 top depending on the shop Smile

Teabaseddiet · 27/04/2020 21:53

Also lots of people rave about snag tights - I night my first pair today and have high hopes.

Longdistance · 27/04/2020 22:10

I’m 5’10” and an 18-20, I’m 44.

I wear jeggings from New Look tall with longline tops when I’m casual. For work it’s black trousers and top/jumper with long jacket. Dresses I love a maxi dress or midi dress.

My general go to shops are New Look, DP, TU, Wallis and Zalando. I shop with them all online as I can’t stand shops when they don’t have my size.

DelphiniumBlue · 28/04/2020 19:55

ClientQ and everyone else, have you seen the Snag tights thread?
They're doing 2for1 offers as they are struggling to stay afloat because of Covid, until their busier period, in Autumn.
If you normally stock up in Autumn, maybe you could buy in advance?
Promise I'm not on commission, I just feel really sorry for them and don't want them to go bust.

Teabaseddiet · 29/04/2020 00:19

Good call - I've just bought a couple of pairs and a voucher - don't want them shutting down!

ClientQ · 29/04/2020 00:25

I have and have stocked up!
