Alternative to Mumsnet haircut?

SunshineOutdoors · 24/04/2020 19:14

I don’t know if anyone has seen this already, but the Mumsnet haircut doesn’t work for me. I tried this one though and am really happy with the results. Just thought I’d share in case it helps anyone else.

Bumping because surely someone wants to try this? (And be braver than me and post pics)

I've not tried it but I LOVE Brad Mondo.

SunshineOutdoors · 25/04/2020 22:12

I thought I’d hate him when one of his videos popped up on my Facebook feed, but he’s actually likeable and I’m very impressed having tried this

I've wanted to try this, but haven't been able to work out how to position the bands at the back correctly?

DaisyChainsForever · 26/04/2020 10:13

i feel like i need longer arms for this! and definitely don't trust DP to do it for me Grin

SunshineOutdoors · 26/04/2020 11:08

My hair is quite short (chin length bob) so it was easier to do the back. I don’t know how you’d slide the bobbles down correctly on longer hair.

Thanks for this. It's certainly looks tougher to do though! One of the joys of the unicorn/ponytail/MN haircut is the ease.

SunshineOutdoors · 26/04/2020 11:41

Agreed, but for me the downside of the mn one is the result when you take the bobble out!

Ooh I'm interested in this! I have a chin length bob too and it needs a refresh.
Did you do the layers OP?
What is your hair type?

SunshineOutdoors · 27/04/2020 20:15

Yes I did the layers, but was cautious and only did a little bit off, am happy with it. I have fine straight hair but loads and loads of it so it looks thick. It’s also quite good for not showing scissor marks so have got away with some home hair cutting in the past.
