After tips for cleaning a second hand leather bag

It’s a tan leather multi flap bag the previous owner has preferred just using one of the flap pockets so the leather is more worn and darker than the rest of the bag, I’ve gently cleaned the whole bag with leather spray and leather cream and a cloth, putting a bit more effort on the dark bit but hasn’t made a difference. Any other suggestions?

If you are trying to even up the colour? Or just clean and treat it to make it more supple?
