I got this lovely (I think it's lovely anyway!) dress recently and I'm thinking of wearing it for a date arranged for when lockdown is over.

I wondered if anyone had any nice ideas of how to style it?

I'm looking for ideas for shoes, tights, a bag and maybe jewellery ideas

I'm not overly confident when it comes to my legs so probably some lightish black tights would be preferred

If you don’t want it, I’ll have it!

I’d wear it with ballet flats, in terms of accessories, I would keep anything minimal, the dress speaks for itself, maybe a pendent necklace.

I think black tights would be a little harsh though.

@StarlightLady pleased you like it! It's just my style Smile it was £75 originally! Which I could never afford but I got it in a sale for around £35

I'm thinking for jewellery I've got some delicate dangly pearl earrings that'll just dress it up a little without taking the attention away

Any ideas for nail colour? I feel like a contrast would be nice but I'm unsure what to go for

Would you have bare legs and black shoes? I have some small heeled Mary Janes that might go well or just some plain black ballet shoes

Sorry for all the questions but I'm unsure what colour bag too! My best bag is red and it'll be overkill but I don't know if black will be too simple and plain

@SausageSimon - Personally, l would go for bate legs if the weather is on your side or nude tights.

Nails? Anything but dark or yellow.

Bag? Style over colour.

Is there a risk of a bra strap showing at times? If so, I don’t see a prob with that, unless people have grey that is supposed to be white or so called nude that looks like cardboard. So pretty coloured bra, or plain black, just in case.

I will get looking online! I might be able to manage tan tights instead of bare legs 😊

I tried the dress on without a bra and it looked great and covered well so I'm tempted to go without for the first time ever! I'll feel brave for it

@SausageSimon - Go for it! With some dresses and tops l go sans bra! It depends on the outfit; but never for work!!!!

‘Hope you don’t have to wait to long to enjoy being out and about in the dress.

If only your date knew how much trouble you had gone to.

Lovely dress. Definitely black shoes and bag with it. Neutral nails.

I have a similar dress. Its best without jewellery as it's quite full on anyway. Or just a gold chain.
