Under nose wrinkles.

I've just had to have a photo taken of me for a school project. I'm utterly horrified to discover two horizontal wrinkles under my nose ...sort of above my lip. They are incredibly obvious and only appear when I smile. Can anything be done to remove, reduce, hide them or am I destined never to smile again?
I've attached a heavily cropped photo....Help, please.

I've recently developed something very similar. Is it to do with muscle weakness? I wondered if some sort of facial exercise might help?

ProperVexed · 24/04/2020 14:30

Perhaps it is the lack of exercise as I have fewer people to talk to in lockdown. I wondered if it was fixable with Botox.

You have lovely teeth
Probably filler or botox will sort it out

ProperVexed · 24/04/2020 15:08

@workshy44 Thank you. I now have a warm glow to go with my nice teeth and wrinkled lip. Teeth are courtesy of Invisalign braces about 12 years ago.
I'm currently exercising my lip and researching local Botox places for after lockdown.

Have you had a rhinoplasty? I've heard that that can sometimes cause those horizontal lines.

justilou1 · 24/04/2020 23:39

I think filler would work better than Botox, tbh.

ProperVexed · 25/04/2020 05:32

Hi, thanks for all replies. No, I haven't had rhinoplasty so it's not that. And I'll look at fillers.

How old are you? I don't think others see them the way you do.

I think it is just because you are doing a proper nice smile! It looks genuine and has just pulled your top lip wider than usual. I think it's quite pretty!
