Ha! I started a thread asking about this brand ages ago but nobody appeared to know about it at the time as there were no replies.
I do like their ethos and the story behind it and all the green blah blah and the fact they did a Clarins and produced hand sanitizers for hospitals.
However, the products I used weren’t all that great. In the end I bought some when they were in the sale at H&B so it was good value for money on paper.
I used the eye serum, yellow label it said it was for eyes and fine lines and it did nothing. It was in a tube with a sling action and the mechanism wasn’t working very well. Prepared to put up with the inconvenience if I was going to get some result.
I am still using the plankton oil, it doesn’t do anything and doesn’t smell that great, doesn’t absorb very well but I do like the ingredients so will use it up, I apply when doing face massage now.
I have used the plankton face mask once a week, it lasted a reasonable long time and did nothing for me.
For all of the above face products, based on the ingredients and blurb I expected my skin to look and feel softer and fine lines to look smoother on a temporary basis at least. None of that happened but at least there were no negative skin reactions.
I do like the idea of plant based and marine inspired skincare but I also want results, however much of a bargain the product might be. So I won’t be buying again.
I looked through their website and have zero interest in the other products.
However, their plankton hand scrub/mask is very, very, very good. So much so that I bought a backup whilst still in the sales. It lasts for ages, you only need a tiny amount and it leaves hands very soft and clean looking like some sort of brightening. I use it once a week.take rings off when using. I lost two tiny diamonds since I started and am 99% sure they came off because of it. I can’t prove it but it’s too much of a coincidence. It’s quite a heavy duty scrub.
