Sorry if this has been discussed before, I have done a search but couldn't find any opinions.

Has anyone tried their products? I need a few face products and I am really tempted by their Renew&Protect range

I got a tester size of the seahorse plankton face mask in the H&B advent calendar. I find it a bit odd to use as you apply such a thin layer but it does make my skin very soft and smooth afterwards.

I've loved everything I tried, the cleansers are great
My colleague loved the sea plankton oil and even used it on her 3yo who had some dry skin on his face and it cleared it up

Ha! I started a thread asking about this brand ages ago but nobody appeared to know about it at the time as there were no replies.
I do like their ethos and the story behind it and all the green blah blah and the fact they did a Clarins and produced hand sanitizers for hospitals.
However, the products I used weren’t all that great. In the end I bought some when they were in the sale at H&B so it was good value for money on paper.
I used the eye serum, yellow label it said it was for eyes and fine lines and it did nothing. It was in a tube with a sling action and the mechanism wasn’t working very well. Prepared to put up with the inconvenience if I was going to get some result.
I am still using the plankton oil, it doesn’t do anything and doesn’t smell that great, doesn’t absorb very well but I do like the ingredients so will use it up, I apply when doing face massage now.
I have used the plankton face mask once a week, it lasted a reasonable long time and did nothing for me.
For all of the above face products, based on the ingredients and blurb I expected my skin to look and feel softer and fine lines to look smoother on a temporary basis at least. None of that happened but at least there were no negative skin reactions.
I do like the idea of plant based and marine inspired skincare but I also want results, however much of a bargain the product might be. So I won’t be buying again.
I looked through their website and have zero interest in the other products.
However, their plankton hand scrub/mask is very, very, very good. So much so that I bought a backup whilst still in the sales. It lasts for ages, you only need a tiny amount and it leaves hands very soft and clean looking like some sort of brightening. I use it once a week.take rings off when using. I lost two tiny diamonds since I started and am 99% sure they came off because of it. I can’t prove it but it’s too much of a coincidence. It’s quite a heavy duty scrub.

Not ‘sling’ action, but ‘spring’ as in spring coil.

Aw, thank you so much.
I can see the reviews are quite mixed , I might just order their small trial kit before ordering the whole range.

That might be a very good solution. I remember that I also bought the BB cream. Apart from the smell which is specific to this plankton range, what I didn’t like was the actual colour, very orangey. The texture was quite thick but it did spread out evenly with a bit of persuasion. And the orange tint wasn’t quite that obvious but it seemed to dry out throughout the day.
The sale at Holland & Barett in the actual shop was really really good, I think they were changing packaging at the time but both old and new packaging products were heavily reduced. Maybe they have some reduced on H&B website? Like a seasonal offer.
I hope you’ll like it. I am forever looking for the holy grail of skin care 😁
