Getting fringe cut in - any advice?

I have curly, wavy or frizzy hair - depending it's mood! I also have shocking frown lines. So I have decided to go for a fringe. I am thinking of a sixties ish one with the longer sidey bits to soften into the curls. Any words of advice before I do it?

Are you doing it yourself? I have (had!) a lovely blunt 60s fringe but after a month in lockdown and with a trim already overdue I just have really shit hair.
