Magnetic eyelashes

I thought I was dealing with lockdown relatively well but I’m clearly having a wobble today as, after seeing an advert on Instagram of all places, I ordered some magnetic eyelashes.

Has anyone here used them and are they any good?

I did the exact same as you - the ads look great don't they?!

Did you get the ones that stick to magnetic liner or the ones that you place either side of your lashes and they stick together with your lashes sandwiched in the middle?

I'm afraid I bought the ones that stick either side of lashes and they are totally impossible to put and keep on. So don't expect too much is all I'd say from my experience!

mycatsmellsbad · 21/04/2020 22:20

Not heard of those they sound brutal - I went for the ones with the liner, I’ve only just weaned myself of liquid eyeliner as well.

I was definitely in a dodgy mood, 30 seconds of reading comments saying they’d sold out of the ‘classic’ but then they had new stock come in then when I checked the website only 14 left...

I work in marketing as well I should be ashamed!

Hahaha! Well do keep me posted with how they are because despite my first disaster I was still tempted to try the eyeliner type!!

ilovewinterpansies · 22/04/2020 07:31

Also not an immediate fix but I've found that rapid lash and a heated eyelash curler (and usual favourite mascara) works absolute wonders. Takes a while for rapid lash to work (4-6 weeks) but I can definitely notice a difference.

Ipadipod · 22/04/2020 07:32

I fell for the lashes I’m afraid , they are utterly useless !

Ipadipod · 22/04/2020 07:33

I can feel myself caving in with the eyebrow stamper thing !

LionessRoar · 22/04/2020 08:02

Just bought the eyeliner stamp and it’s fab! Takes a few gos to get them both going at the same angle but it’s so quick and easy after that. I’ve never been able to get even, sharp flicks and now it takes me seconds to get perfect flicks. I know I sound like one of their ads, but I promise I’m not linked to them in any way 😂

Quarantimespringclean · 22/04/2020 09:29

I’ve bought both sorts of magnetic lash and given up on both. Old fashioned strips with glue are actually easier.

Oh drat. I had hopes of the Lola London (?) magnetic liner ones but looks like it isn't worth bothering from what you all say.

CadburysTastesVileNow · 27/04/2020 14:32

I can now confirm that I might just as well have set light to the £35 I spent on Lola's magnetic lashes. Straight in the bin.

Lostnthewoods · 27/04/2020 15:30

I watched a couple of vloggers trying them out on Youtube and they all said they were horrendous

mycatsmellsbad · 27/04/2020 15:34

I got mine from wink deluxe and, to be fair, they worked. Just looked ridiculous as too long and not natural looking enough for me but if I had the patience to trim them they would probably look alright. I was just surprised that the eyeliner was actually magnetic and they would stick.

Me too and indeed they are Grin

Mummyshark2018 · 27/04/2020 15:49

I threw them away. Couldn't put them on. Waste of money!
