Help me find a new summer bathrobe

My fluffy bathrobe is too warm now. I need a new lightweight one for the summer months, but can’t find anything I like, except on ridiculously expensive boutique websites on which they cost £300 upwards. 🙄

I’m looking for one that is lightweight but not too lightweight - I’ve already got silk and georgette type ones which I don’t use except on holiday, because they just feel cold when I put them on and I don’t like that.

So something soft and cosy without being thick and hot.

White is no good because it will live in the wash.

I like to trundle out to the greenhouse first thing to open the doors and move out the seedlings I’m hardening off. Unfortunately there is a gap in the hedge at the moment where a tree was removed - baby hedgelings have been planted to fill the gap but they are still sparse. Before lockdown this didn’t matter, as I didn’t care if the odd speeding motorist got a flash of me in my tatty old bathrobe, but now instead of cars it’s all neighbours and acquaintances walking past on their morning constitutionals, and they’re all looking for a chat (from a safe distance obvs). So, I’d like my new bathrobe to be a) not risqué and b) stylish would be good!

I await your suggestions! Go!

I’d suggest signing up for Toast emails so you get an alert for the next sale. Smile

Have a look at Verry Kerry

I have been OBSESSED by this very question and ended up with a Toast one and it makes me so so happy. Annoyingly after I bought it it went on sale. My mum and friend got the same one at my urging and we all love it and it was worth the money. The length is perfect (don’t have to shave legs) and even at 8months pregnant still wraps around me securely. Buy immediately!

Ted Baker do some gorgeous prints but they are quite short - mid thigh length.

Try La Redoute:

CyberJammies for sure. I have this one: www.cyberjammies.co.uk/womens-nightwear/belle-woven-long-sleeve-brushed-check-long-dressing-gown.html

It’s warm but not too hot. Very soft and washes well. Long enough to cover everything and I’d be happy to chat to neighbours wearing it. The price tag is phenomenal too, great value 👍🏼

Not my colours or style but pretty.

I always get mine from H and M.

They do towelling, linen (as suggested already) and waffly cotton (I'm wearing mine right now - easy to wash and very reasonable).

My Cyberjamies dressing gown arrived this morning, I love it.
