Hairdressers please help! Grey roots need dyeing!

I am used to having them done every four weeks and they’re driving me mad. I was overdue an appointment anyway at lockdown so they’re now 2 inches long! My natural colour is brown but I’m very grey on top and have been having it dyed blonde for years. My hairdresser usually just brushes the colour on my roots.

What do you recommend I use? Can I just brush a blonde dye straight on the roots (I’m only really bothered about my part - I probably wouldn’t attempt to do the sides and back) or do I need to use peroxide? I think my hairdresser usually mixes a colour with peroxide but obviously I need to get something I can buy online.
Any advice appreciated thanks.

I use majirel and mix with peroxide as it's good for resistant grey hair..box dyes don't work well on this type of hair. You can buy the colours etc on eBay. It's not hard to do. I do mine for years.

Hi
I use 20 volume as it opens cuticle up more on the grey hair...you can order this also on ebay.. 10 vol may work if not resistant,...as well as the tubes of colour...i buy 8.1..ash blonde...instructions for mixing on net or in the box...usually 1:1.30..bleach to colour ratio...i do roots first and after 40 mins comb through all over and then add water and mix it up over the head and then rinse off after another 15 mins....the box dyes dont lift or cover the grey on my hair so stopped using them years ago....i find majirel brand good for resistant greys...i will be doing mine tomw...good luck..!!
