Tell me your HG rosey pink lipsticks

I feel like I've got a HG for every category except lipstick.

I'm looking for a naturally flushed looking lip which is not too dark nor too bright. I don't like bubble gum pinks or cool blue toned pinks - I like more of a rose pink. I'm looking for a lipstick which leaves behind a stain as it wears off. I would like a semi matte finish - not too shiny but not drying. I used to have a HG lipstick from Clinique called Baby Kiss but it got discontinued. I loved the colour but it didn't have great staying power. I also quite like NYX Shangai but as it's a liquid liostick it can look too overdone and trout pouty on me! But I do like the shade.

For reference, I'm a Spring with NC25 skin, green/amber eyes and honey/caramel hair. My lips are really unpigmented - practically invisble without lipstick. I just want to look natural without being overdone.

In terms of formulation and colour choice, I'm really loving Other Stories lipsticks too.

Etoile de mer looks very bright - almost a coral in the picture but does look very pretty.
Baby lips and Boy both look a bit too nude neutral.
I like the colour of Devotion Revlon Matte but is it a matte liquid lip? I struggle with high density lipcreams as I find them quite ageing on me - I'm 48
The CT looks like a brick shade or maybe that's just the images as the name Rose would suggest otherwise!

HG is holy grail
NC25 is a MAC shade it means I'm medium toned warm skin. I'm also 3W0 in ELDW

Stoned Rose is quite an orangey Brown I find
For reference I'm also a Spring although I have blue eyes and when I put it on I end up taking it off again

Looks weird and gimmicky but gives the most natural pink I’ve come across - Frog Prince by Lipstick queen (green in tube but adapts to an enhanced version of your lip colour when on the lip)

Oooh Frog Prince does look interesting - definitely one I'd have to swatch first - damn rhis lockdown!

I sound about the same complexion wide and the lipstick queen does really work well for me, I got it in a beauty advent calendar thinking it would be rubbish but it makes my lips look so plump and the colour is great, I also find it very moisturising. Using it more than ever now with staying in but wanting to feel a bit “put together”

Yes I like the Lipstick queen one too. I have 2 shades and I really like both of them. They are almost reminiscent of the colour of Benetint (does that still exist?!)

No 7 Sheer temptation “Excite”.

Only drawback to it is it lacks staying power but it’s moisturising and the absolutely perfect pink. Like one step up from your natural lips.

I’ve been trying to colour match it to something more lasting for years, on and off, but haven’t found anything totally satisfactory yet.

Estée Lauder, Pure colour envy “Rebellious rose” is about a shade darker than that and doesn’t need so many touch ups.

I was going to recommend the Frog Prince one too. With one layer it’s a lovely, subtle pink rosey tone. But it’s buildable so an extra layer makes it bolder. It feels nice on and I can just apply whilst out and about without a mirror as it is subtle and the texture is a bit like a balm.

Charlotte Tilbury's Amazing Grace is my HG - not sure if it fits the bill. I adore it!

Yes the revlon one is a bit too matte...
Perhaps I’m thinking of a different CT one. I struggle with lipsticks too and can’t have too pink as it looks very strange against my skin so always use a rose tone.

I have the Frog Prince one too but it looks very bright on me. Depends on your pigmentation.

Have you tried the Christian Dior Lip Glow range? I know they're expensive but the pink (001) and the raspberry, (ordinary 007 or matte 102) might fit the bill.
They fall into the 'my lips but better' category of lipstick and are light but noticeable, IMO.

I like them anyway!

so far frog prince is looking the most promising but it's too pricey to blind buy. Does anyone have any drugstore ideas?

And then you’d have to follow the perennial advice to go outside and look at it in daylight!
