I want to start looking made up!

As I'm stuck in for 12 weeks, I thought I need a new hobby and want to learn how to put 'proper' make up on and look made up! However I have no idea what to buy and which YouTube videos will help me...

I wear limited make up every day (tinted moisturiser, powder, eyeliner, mascara) but just want to look a bit more... I don't know... like I've put in an effort?

I'm trying to keep up my exercise and not eat too much crap so if I can nail the make up, I'll emerge from this lockdown looking fabulous! 😁

Any tips?

Youtube tutorials!

Try Robert Welsh on you tube - he’s a professional make up artist and doesn’t do the crazy contour and concealer things most you tubers do

Will do!

@MrsJBaptiste I bought one of those 24hr lip inks from Maybelline in a brighter red than I had ever worn, and it seems to instantly make me look more polished than the natural glossy lips I had before.

I Best tutorials I found are Wayne Goss and Lisa Eldridge on Youtube. Great at the basics and lots of tips.
I started with the 5 minute face. It seemed less daunting.

I like Hannah Martin’s make-up tutorials on YouTube & have found them very useful.

I like bryony Blake on Facebook she’s on other platforms too, make up Is lovely but not too over the top or difficult to replicate imo

One tip I have. Buy setting spray for make up and apply it to a sponge to dampen it instead of water. A beautician taught me this. It makes a huge difference. Use it to apply foundation.

YouTube - Hannah Martin or Lisa Eldridge. Look for quick tutorials rather than a glam look and build up.

BuffaloCauliflower · 18/04/2020 13:05

@Littleshortcake interesting! Does it work with all foundation types?

Robert Welsh is fab and as said Hannah Martin. I also like katie Jane hughes on Instagram
