It's pretty tricky to get hold of at the mo. Any good alternatives I can buy from the UK? I love the light texture, it just sinks straight into my skin and doesn't make it greasy. I've tried the LRP stuff, it's ok but texture isn't as good.

Ah, thanks but it's the one in the other bottle I usually get which I believe is a slightly different formulation.

Ok, how about this? Anyone tried it - is it really light like it says, or greasy? www.olay.co.uk/en-gb/skin-care-products/olay-whips-luminous-face-moisturiser-spf-30

I haven’t used that one but the Nivea suncream for face is a good budget one. It might not be rich enough for you.

Which Nivea one is it @TerrorWig - I don't want something rich!.

@IdrisElbow I've tried LRP and the texture wasn't quite right for me

@Stressingismyhobby you could try frezyderm. It’s very light and almost like a primer finish. Lots of people seem to like it but to be honest I didn’t get on with it. My skin is pretty oily and it left me very shiny by lunchtime. I love Biore bright milk spf 50 (prefer over Biore aqua rich) but I buy from Japan on eBay. I’ve got a couple in stock so I’m ok. Another one maybe worth a try is heliocare. I’ve tried a sample of the oil free gel and that was pretty good.

TerrorWig · 24/04/2020 21:29

Oh sorry! I have actually used the Biore watery essence but the Aqua Rich threw me off!

This one. Practically the only sunscreen that didn’t stink or break me out - just felt like a light face cream rather than sunscreen. I have combo skin and it was totally fine for me, alone or under make up.

I’ve heard really good things about Heliocare 360 gel, but I haven’t tried it yet. The body shop do a factor 50 face cream that I tried last summer and it was really light and nice, but recent reviews of it suggest they’ve changed the formula and it’s not light anymore...

Stressingismyhobby · 24/04/2020 23:41

@TerrorWig no, sorry, my mistake - I mean watery essence, that's the one I like!! That Nivea one sounds ideal, never heard of that before.

@jedstre not heard of frezyderm but I've got 'shiny by lunchtime' kind of skin so maybe I wouldn't like it either.

@Confused866 which Heliocare is it?

...actually think it's called Aqua Rich Watery Essence

This is the one I’ve heard good things about that I’m going to try....

I like Bobby brown factor 50 primer but it’s pricy so I might give the Nivea one a go!

Elllllle · 25/04/2020 07:25

I love the biore, must try the Nivea one! I have also tried Freezyderm - and have to say, it's absolutely nothing like biore and I didnt get along with it either, way too greasy under makeup

Stressingismyhobby · 25/04/2020 10:19

Ooh that Heliocare looks great!

Jedstre · 25/04/2020 10:24

The one that @Confused866 links to is the Heliocare I’ve had a sample of. I’d be happy to purchase a full size. I’d say the finish isn’t the same as the Biore though. The Japanese SPFs are cosmetically very elegant in their finish on the skin and I’ve not found anything else that compares.
The other option @Stressingismyhobby is buying on amazon.jp. They will deliver some products to UK.

Stressingismyhobby · 25/04/2020 10:57

Thanks @Jedstre Yes, I've order some Biore on Amazon but it's not coming til some time in May. It always takes aaaages so I just thought I'd see what UK options are available. Definitely giving thre Nivea and Heliocare a go.
