Purple trousers

I ordered these trousers from m&s this week. I'd been eyeing up the navy but they'd sold out in my size, so I ordered the purple.

I love purple, but I'm not sure if I'll look a bit... middle aged hippy? I'm 35, tall, size 12.

I'm wondering whether to swap them (navy are now back in stock) or just say "fuck it, it's lockdown" and wear something silly in a colour I like. Thoughts??

Wear them I would and I’m 54.

I think the only thing hippy about them is the name of the colour. Personally, I’m bored with black and navy trousers so the colour makes a nice change if you have things to go with them. Not keen on the waist band though.

I think they are lovely. I'd be careful not to wear anything too fussy with them though.

I’m in my 30s and would not wear them.

The words "linen rich" would be the bit that puts me off most, I would be concerned they may look like a scrunched up hanky by lunchtime.

Definitely go for the navy!

Having said that, if you like the colour just wear them!
