Where will I shop now?

About 70% of my wardrobe is from Oasis or Warehouse and I see they’re about to go into administration.
I don’t really like online shopping - I think I’m of the generation (mid 40s)who loves the shopping experience in real life so whilst
I realise this probably makes me sound shallow it’s something I would really miss.
Are there even any internet brands that I would like?

You do realise there are pretty much an infinite number of clothing brands available online? Grin

Have you come across the several 'Parisian dressing' threads here? At a guess you'd like the brands mentioned there. (Can't help myself, not really my style.)

I do Perdita
Thanks

You have my sympathies OP - for some reason Oasis really works for me and I really haven’t found many other places that do. Not their more floral stuff but their dress shapes work well on me!

AlfieandAnnieRose · 15/04/2020 08:42

@TheMarbleFaun is it just the shops that are closing? As I’ve been on the Oasis website and it’s still up and running, same as Debenhams.

TheMarbleFaun · 15/04/2020 11:00

I hope they’ll trade online at least but I’m not sure.
I think Debenhams is still hoping to trade online

I feel a little the same Op, they did seem to cater well for sizes 14 to 16. I'm not really sure where next other than River Island for me!

loopylindazdaughter · 18/04/2020 03:34

Just done a lady big order on warehouse, they worked for me too :( gutted

Handbag101 · 18/04/2020 07:25

Me too OP. I love Warehouse and their sales are amazing. I got all my holiday summer dresses in the winter sale which I obviously won't be wearing but it's one of my go to places. Hoping they still trade online, even ASOS sells their stuff 🙏

redroses86 · 18/04/2020 09:12

I feel the same! Hoping they get bought out and still appear online at least.
I find the fit of their clothes is perfect and the materials are good too. They do nipped in waists rather than just ‘stretchy’ or ‘baggy’ like other brands. I find everything from Zara looks like a great big bin bag on me and things from Primark and Boohoo are just not fitted at all.
Hoping they last until payday this month them I’m going to do a big last order!

Eesha · 18/04/2020 11:28

@redroses86 Agree about zara. People rave about it and everything looks so fashionable on the hanger yet hideous on me!!!

tontie · 18/04/2020 11:33

I like Warehouse a lot, I do like Zara but don't enjoy their shops & too many options on the site.

I struggle a bit with online shopping as it can be quite hard to find independent brands & harder to know what the fit or quality is like. I hate returning stuff & it's often expensive although I understand from a small business point of view why the burden is on the customer.

stakeholderwizz · 18/04/2020 11:59

Most of my wardrobe is warehouse, love their midi styles and find them very flattering for curvy women!

brimfullofasha · 18/04/2020 20:54

Oh no. I hadn't heard this. Most of my clothes are from warehouse. Their midi dresses suit me and I like their basics. I'm a 14-16 too and the clothes seem to sit well on me.
