Are you still buying clothes? Where are you looking?

I need some comfy house clothes for now, with a view to being able to wear them outside casually once we are out of lockdown.
Where can I look?
I've looked at Hush ( some nice bits but on the expensive side) Boden ( too dressy/fitted for now) Tu ( nothing nice at all).
I'm thinking longish, looseish tops/short dresses to wear with leggings/yoga pants. Am apple shape so need something stomach covering.
Has anyone got ideas for other online shops? I really like browsing for clothes, but I've exhausted all the outlets I can think of.

H and M
George at Asda
Asos

Do you have Kathmandu in the UK? It's an outdoorsy type shop but they do really comfy loungey but smart enough to wear out and about stuff too.
Always wait for the sale though.

White Company
M & S
H & M

OxanaVorontsova · 14/04/2020 21:07

I have been looking at Saint and Sofia, bit pricy though

Lovemusic33 · 14/04/2020 21:20

I buy yoga pants/harem trousers on eBay.

I’m struggling to find clothes at the moment but realistically I could probably make do with what I have.

lokoho · 14/04/2020 21:23

I just spent sooooo much in the Oliver Bonas sale. :/

joggers jumper sweater etc etc!!

goose1964 · 14/04/2020 21:24

I've just bought a couple of dresses from Monsoon. One is similar to a dress I had around 1980.

Fatted · 14/04/2020 21:26

Probably not the style you're looking for, but I have spent a small fortune at Dorothy Perkins this weekend on much needed summer clothes. They have lots of dresses reduced. I bought a few jersey type dresses I can wear at home and probably smarten up with some heels and a jacket for work.

DelphiniumBlue · 14/04/2020 21:43

Thanks for the suggestions.
Saint and Sofia do look tempting, I wonder has anyone actually bought from them? What's the fit and quality like?
I have bought from Monsoon previously, but their sizing is very variable.
I didn't know DP did online, haven't seen any of their clothes since our local branch closed a few years ago.

I might buy some matching loungewear sets or gym wear. Thinking gym shark and Adidas, and plt/missguided for cheap loungewear

There’s some items (boots and blazer) that I have wanted from Zara for about a month, so might just buy them now before they sell out! I have nowhere to wear them though Blush

Allyfromtheblock · 14/04/2020 21:54

Uniclo has lovely homewear

PrimalLass · 15/04/2020 11:51

Massively unflattering and overpriced IMO.

DelphiniumBlue · 15/04/2020 14:27

Oh PrimalLass, you've put me right off! But it's the sort of stuff i had in mind.
So I don't like Uniqlo, have never ever seen anything anything in there I like ( although their menswear is OK). Have now looked at DP, but couldn't see anything enticing.
Where else can I look?

So I've found a nice lightweight hoody on BAM. Worth checking them out.

I just ordered some trousers from Saint & Sofia yesterday. They appeared as an ad on FB and I bought them on impulse because they looked comfy. If they look shite on I’ll be returning them. I’ll report back when they arrive.

HundredMilesAnHour · 15/04/2020 20:23

I bought some lovely tops/jumpers in the Jigsaw sale. Cashmere and/or silk. I haven't bought anything from Jigsaw for YEARS so not sure what inspired me. They're great quality and really good value for money (at sale prices).

VenusClapTrap · 22/04/2020 13:56

Well my Saint & Sofia trousers finally arrived. Bad fit and they feel really cheap. I’m returning them. I wish I’d read the small print though before I ordered them - it’s £7.50 to return them! That’ll teach me.

Lovemusic33 · 22/04/2020 14:51

I received a few items I ordered on eBay and most are nothing like I thought they would be.

Would love some comfy playsuit/shorts/dungarees but can’t find any anywhere, I’m a bit fussy and like alternative clothing rather than high street brands (though some are ok). Bought some dungarees on eBay, bought a size up as would rather they were too big than too small, they came and I can’t even get them over my thighs.

AnUnlikelyWorldofInvisibleShad · 22/04/2020 15:03

I am wearing Saint and Sofia right now. I bought 4 pairs, absolutely love them and have only occasionally worn any other trousers since I got these a couple of months ago. Also love in tops by Bam. Lovely long tops in really soft fabric.

nitgel · 22/04/2020 15:06

Uniqlo

Bargainhuntbore · 22/04/2020 17:16

Silkfred

DidoLamenting · 22/04/2020 18:23

Palava. I haven't decided which but I want a new dress from them. I love their dresses and they are all made in the UK

palava.co/

I also really want one of the long sleeved tiered dresses or the sleeveless hemp dress from & Daughter.

100% Uniqlo!

Hairydogmummy · 22/04/2020 22:50

I have some lovely loungewear from Sosandar. They're getting their deliveries out really quickly too, unlike some other companies at the moment.

MoltoAgitato · 22/04/2020 22:54

I bought a Walking Zoo skirt from Palava, after seeing it recommended on here. It’s fabulous and makes me smile every time I see it. Quite lightweight so definitely a summer skirt. I would have bought the dress as well (or in a different fabric) but they are out of stock in my size. Nice to support U.K. manufacturing too.
