Anyone fancy sharing your lockdown make up? I'm wearing Origins tinted moisturiser, Glossier stretch concealer, Model co Crème Rouge and Benefit lash primer...

I'm wearing no makeup. At all. It's wonderful.

WickedlyPetite · 14/04/2020 14:09

No make up here either.

And I'm using up a drawer full of samples of serums, oils, moisturisers.

Hairydogmummy · 14/04/2020 15:38

I hate wearing no make up at all! Every time I look in the mirror I'm like 'I look ill' and that's not good at the moment!

I pick my face and feel disgusting with no makeup (I'm very ugly makeup free!!!) I'm wearing the usual full face Blush
Double wear foundation (although I am DESPERATE to get this out of my routine and switch it for something lighter - I just can't decide what to get)
Nars creamy concealer
Nars orgasm blush
Naked 2 eyeshadow
Beauty pie gel liner
Beauty pie Massive Fan mascara
Nars Laguna bronzer (only a tiny tiny bit)
Nars Dolce Vita lipstick

I need a lighter look for summer I think. And a new face Hmm

squishedgrapes · 14/04/2020 16:10

I've been wearing
Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser,
NARS creamy concealer on under eye shadows
Too faced mascara
Burst Bees tinted lip balm.
Tired of feeling bleurgh

Hairydogmummy · 14/04/2020 17:02

Aw @emsyj37 don't put yourself down! I bet you're not....I've just bought Lancôme teint idole foundation...that's very light but decent coverage. I fancy the Nars concealer. Heard lots of good things but I have three others on the go atm!

emsyj37 · 14/04/2020 17:08

The Nars one is great, but I think the Revolution Conceal & Define is almost identical and much cheaper. I will be buying that one again rather than repurchasing the Nars.

I've never tried a Lancome foundation but they get good reviews so maybe I should take a look. My aim is to try and reduce my need for makeup by using fake tan and then maybe switch to a tinted moisturiser/BB cream.

Hairydogmummy · 14/04/2020 17:12

Yes that's a good idea...which fake tan? I like Skinny tan but thinking of trying those drops you add to your normal moisturiser.

I’ve rediscovered how good Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue is, although it seems to be getting harder to find so hope they don’t discontinue it as they often do with best sellers.

I have also treated myself to this palette from BM, really lovely colours. Eyeshadows don’t last too long on me but at the moment I can reapply whenever I like!

www.bareminerals.co.uk/makeup/collections/beauty_of_nature/beauty-of-nature-gen-nude-eyeshadow-palette/UK94307.html

Today also wearing
Laura Mercier translucent powder
Collection mascara and liquid eyeliner
Nars radiant concealer
Daniel Sandler blusher
MUA eyebrow pencil
Cheap Superdrug bronzer
Becca cream highlighter

I am in the ‘there’s more time to experiment’ camp but I love make up and how it can enhance your face.

emsyj37 · 14/04/2020 18:42

I've never tried Skinnytan but I had the same thought as you @Hairydogmummy re the tan drops. EVERYTHING gives me congested skin and spots so if I can keep to my usual products and just add the tan agent rather than adding another layer of lotion/mousse/whatever I'm hoping it will cause me less of a problem. I usually use Bondi Sands mousse or gradual tanning milk but I've got a bottle of Beauty Pie tan mousse that I haven't tried yet. Despite seeing nobody due to lockdown I feel quite keen to tan myself just to have a little boost.
I was considering ordering some Isle of paradise tan drops to try on my face. Have you tried them before??

Hairydogmummy · 14/04/2020 19:08

That's a lovely eye shadow palette @TableNiner the green is gorgeous and the neutrals will be really handy. I hardly ever buy eyeshadow and got two Elizabeth Arden palettes for Xmas but considering something like this. There was a nice one in the Benefit sale the other day.

Not sure about the tanning drops @emsyj37 there's a few companies do them now. It annoys me that I thought of that idea years and years ago. I remember saying to my mum I should go on dragons den with it!

This was my full face for my walk to the park and a visit to the co-op
Bobbi brown corrector and concealer under eyes
Bit of concealer around my chin and nose - unusually my skin is looking good with a bit of fake tan.
Bobbi brown eyeshadow in stone with hourglass bronzer over the top.
Bobbi brown bronze gel eyeliner along the lash line top and bottom, Lancôme monsieur big mascara
Smashbox bronzer with the hourglass one lightly over the top
Bobbi brown fresh melon pot rouge on my cheeks and pink buff lipstick.

What can I say - it was my birthday ! Today nothing! Just a lovely face oil and moisturiser.

Hairydogmummy · 14/04/2020 21:49

@plum1304 that sounds gorgeous!

@emsyj37 are you a Beauty Pie member? Is it worth it? I like to buy from lots of different brands and I think I'd end up feeling like I had to get everything from them if I was paying a membership

I’m not wearing much make up. I love make up but I’ve worn less for the past year or so. I don’t think I’ve been to work without any make up on but I started wearing less some days and would go to, say, the supermarket without make up.

I’ve enjoyed being at home and not wearing make up. It’s good to get used to seeing yourself without it!

But I’ve also enjoyed the days when I have out on make up, usually if I’ve had a Zoom meeting (about once or twice a week)

plum1304 · 14/04/2020 21:58

Ah thank you... as for tanning drops I love clarins ones!

Lndnmummy · 14/04/2020 22:04

I wear Bare Minerals complexion rescue and an hourglass bronzer. Hourglass eyebrow pen. Just bought a revitalash eyelash thingy so use that and no mascara at the moment. Then I slather my lips with any balm/gloss/tint I can find. Very low key make up but it does make me feel better.

emsyj37 · 14/04/2020 22:07

I do have Beauty Pie yes @Hairydogmummy and I do like it. I enjoy getting a nice parcel of goodies, it's a little treat for myself Grin.
I like a lot of the products - the lipsticks are AMAZING and I like the Japanfusion cleanser and the body cream. I didn't like the foundation or the perfume, but I plan to buy the tester set of perfumes to see if theres one I like better. Overall I think it's good value for money and I still buy other products and dont feel tied in. I'm interested to try the fake tan to see if it's better than Bondi Sands - it's a similar price so it would have to be superior for me to re-purchase.

BeeBella · 14/04/2020 22:35

I've been putting a splodge of Iconic London's Illuminator in with my moisturiser and slapping that on, plus lashes and eyebrows, and Urban Decay concealer for the eye bags. That's it, my daily lockdown make up!

I couldn't wear nothing, even when I'm not seeing anyone. I hate the sight of my naked face Blush

SouthWestmom · 14/04/2020 23:03

I am doing the same as WickedlyPetite - I'm in the feeling depressed tracksuit wearing stage of lockdown now. Did find one amazing sample and was slathering it all over so looked it up - £75 for a standard jar! Usually pay £40 ish for moisturiser and use cheap blue Nivea for cleansing

Hairydogmummy · 15/04/2020 12:11

Took the plunge on the Beauty Pie @emsyj37. I just did the £5 a month one so I won't feel guilty about buying lots of other stuff too! I ordered nail base coat, the Japanese face wash and a serum. Also got mascara free! Think I'll be waiting for a while. I have orders from Body Shop, Look Fantastic, Sosandar, Amazon and Beauty Pie now and it's all gone quiet on when it'll be delivered!
