Mandelic or lactic acid?

Help please.
What’s the difference is one stronger than the other? Is one better than the other?

I don’t know which one to choose?

Depends what % they are at

Mandelic is good for oily skin, spot prone skin, pigmentation and acne. It has large molecule sizes, so is good for sensitive skin.

Lactic acid is also normally gentle. It is good for dry or aging skin, it is also good for dark spots.

I have blemish prone skin with quite a few acne scars. I want something to reduce the appearance of them slightly. I wondered whether either of these acids would help?

I'd go for the mandelic acid

I recently had a 40% mandelic acid peel and it’s made my chin acne so much worse (I’d just got it clear for the first time in years!). So bear in mind that peels can make acne even worse.

Oh no really Confused. I don’t know what to do.

40% is super high, use 10% or less:
