Getting fitter and shaping up during lockdown

Anyone else aiming to use some of this time to get fitter, maybe lose weight and beautify oneself? Its something I’m keen on and could do with someone to chat to.

I went to the gym fairly regularly before lockdown but stopped when the social distancing advice started (ie well before they closed).

For a couple of weeks I was running and walking but I lost interest a bit. Now I’m doing Body Combat on Youtube (about 3 x least week and the week before) and I’m really enjoying it. I always loved Combat in the gym. I want to try some of Les Mills dance workouts too.

I’m doing fairly well at not eating crap all day just because I’m home.

I also want to keep up with body brushing laser hair removal at home and microneedling.

I’m barely wearing make up (except when I have Zoom meetings!) mostly letting my hair dry naturally might be helping my skin and hair, although I could do with a trim...

Weighed myself a few weeks back and got the shock of my life to see I was teetering on the borderline of being overweight so I’ve been doing lots of YouTube workout videos and actually quite enjoying myself!

I worked out my recommended calorie intake but have reduced it a bit and using MFP on account of the whole not really moving thing. But it’s been nice being home and being able to cook fresh healthy lunches with lots of veg etc.

@jcurve I’ve been using my kettlebell too and it is a killer!

Also ordered myself some resistance bands and have been doing a booty workout by Chloe Ting (YouTube) and that’s killer as well!

Oh and I’ve lost 2lb so far so I’m quite pleased just hope I can keep it up!
