Does anyone use collagen supplements?

Please enlighten me if you do. Please tell me which brand, how long it took for you to notice a difference etc. I need to know everything❤️

I've been taking a brand off amazon on and off. I think my skin improved whilst talking it but I never took it daily (not due to lack of discipline but mainly worry about some data suggesting a connection between kidney stones and collagen supplements) - there's no definitive link between the two as I guess it hasn't been studied fully yet with collagen supplements being a fairly new thing and the same probably applies to all the protein powders that body builders take but who knows.

I never understood how they work though, you lose control of what your body does with food when you eat it.

You might as well eat an extra half a chicken breast a day.

I’be been using Lakes collagen powder but I can’t see any diff TBH. I agree with the above PP - I’d rather eat the skin off an organic chicken. Tastes better as well.

the collagen powder i bought is so disgusting no matter in which way i take it - so i have decided youthful skin isn't worth the taste.

I applied my 'would a man put themselves through this just to look good?' and the answer was no, therefore the collagen powder went where my micro-needling set went - in the bin.

If it tastes rank then there is no way I could stick with it. I didn’t even manage to take prenatal supplements 🤭

I had some collagen drinks in bottles, collagen gold? You can get them in Superdrug. I won a couple of week's supply. I didn't notice any difference, but it may not have been long enough for much effect. They were quite expensive had I bought them, so I was not inspired to pay actual money for them.

I have been using absolute collagen for a while. Didn’t think it was doing much but noticed my hair at front of my temples is regrowing (didn’t notice it was gone tbh). I know it’s recent because the hair is only an inch or so long. So I’m taking it for this. Tastes fine, like lemons.

Haribos - gelatin is just the cooked form of collagen -it does the same job - like eating jelly cubes for skin, hair and nails.

I've been taking tablets for a while. Then stopped. I can't notice a difference. But I've got a 3 month supply left so I guess I'll keep taking them

MyVitamins does collagen supplements, I take them. They almost always have a 50% off code on there, so they end up being around £6.
