How to cut men's hair?

As you may know, the barbershops are closed. My partner is still working (online) and is growing self-conscious over his increasingly untidy hair... he's asked me to try and cut it, and I really don't know where to start? Are there any good YouTube videos for this? His hair is about 1 inch long and quite wirey.

Wouldn't you just do a buzz cut with clippers?

I got OH to describe what the barber does and also did a YouTube search to see how they do the back and around the ears etc. I told him I would aim to replicate his normal haircut but a buzzcut might be the end result... it ended up looking ok although I had to revisit it a couple of days later to tidy up bits I missed.
