Long white hair growing out forehead??

As the the title says really.

I was looking in the mirror the other day I noticed a white hair growing out the middle of my forehead, it's a couple inches long and completely on its own.

Just FYI, I'm 20, don't have any other grey hairs and I'm naturally dark brunette but dyed blond.

I'm also 17 weeks pregnant.

Has anyone else ever experienced this in pregnancy or just in life? I'm baffled!

Dh spotted a white one on my chin when I was using m led mask. Called me captain birdseye for the rest of the night.

I get this! Just a random long hair that appears out of nowhere!

InglouriousBasterd · 10/04/2020 15:11

I found one of these last week! Just how long was it there before I noticed??!

I used to have a freak long white hair growing on my forearm, it was about three inches long. I would pluck it out and it used to grow back super-fast. After a few years repeated plucking it became weaker and it's now gone :-) Fingers crossed it stays gone.

I got one on my forehead over my eyebrow at the end of pregnancy - somehow I didn't notice it until it was about 3 inches long!

Watto1 · 10/04/2020 19:30

I’ve got one in between my shoulder blades. It seems to go from non-existent to 3 inches long overnight. Haven’t seen it for a while so maybe it’s gone.

MaccaRuby · 10/04/2020 20:20

My DH grows one of these every few months. He won’t let anyone pull it out as he says it’s his unicorn horn!

dudsville · 11/04/2020 08:32

I used to get one under my eye! I blamed the hormones of my 30s.

Camopetals · 11/04/2020 08:38

There's a name for these kind of hairs, and they're 'programmed' differently from normal hairs which is why they have no pigment and grow super long out of nowhere. Can't remember what they're called, anyone?

I had one out my neck once

Anotheronetwo · 11/04/2020 08:42

One on arm and one on stomach. I just cut them short if I notice them but the have both been longer than 10cm at one time or another.

Gallade · 11/04/2020 15:57

I get one out of my neck had it for years! Just tweezer it away and sing a 'never come back' song

StarlightLady · 12/04/2020 03:58

Ah, the “Unicorn Hair”, it gets attached to you at night by monsters. It’s a different colour in the hope you won’t notice it! Tweezers will winthe day!

CoolShoeshine · 12/04/2020 04:58

I’ve got one on my neck too Grin.

Luckily it’s very fine so I don’t think anyone else would notice it.

Cissyandflora · 12/04/2020 05:36

Yes I have the forehead one and so do other people. I’ve discussed it with others. It seems to grow either faster than normal hair but I’m more inclined to believe it’s just that it’s so fine and light that we don’t notice it for two or three months in which time it would have grown two or three centimetres. It harkens back to our days as unicorns. The last bit’s not true.

Lauren83 · 12/04/2020 05:41

I have one on the side of my nose and one on my chest, only very very fine and white so they are often really long before I notice them. I also get one thick black one on my chin that grows a bit quicker

Yep I have a forehead hair - grows out the left hand side of my forehead and reaches about an inch before it stops. I first noticed it in my 20s!
