Skin peel at home

Does anyone use a skin peel at home and can recommend one at all?

My face got burnt (with boiling water) and few years ago and its starting to feel tight and look dull and wrinkly, i went to a specialist who suggested some skin peels but i am not sure where to start.

Any help gratefully received 🙂

I’ve started using Versed overnight facial peel. It’s made my skin much smoother and faded some of the blemish marks. I was a bit scared it would be strong and make me react, hence only recently starting to use it (if I go bright red and need to hide for a few days, noes the time!). But actually I’ve found it very gentle, but still effective.

Thank you, i will google it now. Yes i was worried about it reacting with my skin too but felt it maybe worth it as right now i hate my skin so i am willing to try most things.
How often do you use it?

I’ve used it a couple of times over the course of a week, and no negative reaction from my skin at all.

I like The Ordinary AHA and BHA peeling mask, it takes the full too layer of skin off and has a fantastic brightening effect. Just the job!

dull top layer of skin! ^

I would ask the specialist for recommendations to be honest if you have previous skin damage xxxx

Thank you that is another one i will look at! I have used the Ordinary before so will take another look.

The specialist wanted me to do a course of skin peels which would be £££ which i don't mind paying but her advice was lets just try this first to see if it helps, if not, we will move onto more expensive treatments. It was very much lets suck it and see! So my thoughts are that i could try this at home for less and see if it helps before just chucking all my money at her, if you see what i mean!
