Powder foundation recommendations

Hello

I wonder if anyone can recommend a good powder foundation. I’m early 40s, tend to use mostly tinted moisturiser, but use a bit of powder foundation to deal with redness/scarring/excess shine.

I’ve used max factors facefinity for ages, which is great but the colour match of the palest colour is a bit too pink/ashy for my NC20 skin.

I think I tried the Mac one a while ago, but anything cheaper would be good. Also tried Lily Lolo but my sensitive skin didn’t like it

Thanks

I love the bareMinerals original powder foundation and use the shade fairly light which is a good match for me. I'm NC15 in MAC

I really like Kiko and I have sensitive skin.

MeOnSea · 09/04/2020 13:29

Oh, thanks both. Both suggestions I wouldn’t have thought of. I have a few other kiko bits that I rate, will check them out.

Bare minerals is really good.

If you're not sure of colour or if it will suit you, you could order Bare Minerals from QVC you can send it back if you don’t like it. Usually 30 day money back guarantee but currently 60 days, so you’re only risking the postage. You’re allowed to use it for that time to give it a good trial. They sell a few other powder ones too you could try, IT Cosmetics, Laura Geller included.

Max factor powder is great, it’s just as good as the Mac one. In fact I would go as far as saying they’re identical.

Max Factor Miracle Touch.

Mac studio fix powder foundation is brilliant.

I don't like it to be chalky, bareminerals barepro powder foundation is great

womanthatfelltoearth · 10/04/2020 11:47

Another bare minerals recommendation - the original powder one...

SquirrelInTheOak · 10/04/2020 12:57

Pur 4-in 1 or Mac Studio Fix. Both pressed powder.

MeOnSea · 10/04/2020 13:44

Ooh, thank you, lots of ideas to investigate

Original BareMinerals loose powder (& bisque concealer).

&

Laura Gellar for when I’m out n about and don’t want loose powder containers in my bag.
