That sinks in quickly and doesn’t make you feel slimy for ages?!

Aveeno is pretty effective

IHaveBrilloHair · 08/04/2020 18:09

I use Astral and slap it on everywhere, great stuff, and cheap too.

AnneShirleyCuthbert · 08/04/2020 18:10

Child’s farm baby moisturiser

Richlyfruited · 08/04/2020 20:28

I love Dr Organic Manuka honey body moisturiser - needs a bit of rubbing in but very rich and non greasy. Smells amazing too!

Also recommend Sanctuary Spa in shower body moisturiser which you just slap on when wet after your shower and sinks in really quickly.

The Child's Farm recommendation above good too - DH uses it for his eczema!

snowegg · 08/04/2020 20:29

Agree Aveeno.

Hoohaahoo · 08/04/2020 20:31

I think oil is best for your body. It doesn’t leave a film over your skin like moisturiser does. I use an almond oil and love it.

Although cerave moisturiser is probably the best of the moisturisers I’ve tried but is pricey due to the ingredients used.

TerrorWig · 08/04/2020 20:35

I like the Child's Farm one too, but Palmers cocoa butter is my favourite.

I disagree about oil. Too little and it sinks in and does barely anything. Too much and I feel greasy for ages.

MikeUniformMike · 08/04/2020 21:25

snake oil

Girlintheframe · 09/04/2020 07:44

I love Aveeno. I use the dark blue one and it sinks in perfectly

NotInTheMorning · 09/04/2020 07:50

Aveeno used on damp skin straight after a shower. You could also try an exfoliating body cream, something like Ameliorate might help to get rid of the flakyness used 2-3 times a week.

Wannabegreenfingers · 09/04/2020 07:58

Put any moisturizer or oil on damp skin, it sinks in and is more effective then putting it on dry. Good old baby oil or coconut oil are fab.

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/04/2020 08:15

I’m using a big tub of Superdrug vit e range and it’s working well.

Deathraystare · 09/04/2020 09:02

If you don't mind mineral oil - put baby oil on after a bath/shower whilst skin still wet. When skin dry you can apply any body lotion over the top.
Aveeno is good yes but even good old Nivea or Astral.

Toomanydishes · 09/04/2020 10:31

Aveeno or Child's Farm

Appuskidu · 09/04/2020 10:48

I’ve never heard of child’s farm-loads of your have suggested that! Is it a baby range?

I have some Aveeno (green) actually but it didn’t seem to sink in very well-is the blue one different?

Eucerin Repair Plus 10% urea

TerrorWig · 09/04/2020 11:41

@Appuskidu yes it is a baby range but readily available in Asda and Tesco. They also often have double packs in Costco if you really like it!

Appuskidu · 09/04/2020 11:43

I will investigate-does it smell nice?!

OP posts:
TerrorWig · 09/04/2020 11:47

I think so! It’s just a ‘fresh’ smell rather than baby powder or lavender or something.

I also am quite sensitive to scents but this one is fine, I use it on my face as well sometimes.

mindproject · 09/04/2020 11:48

Vaseline intensive care (yellow bottle) has always worked wonders on my skin. Whenever I have a dry patch it gets rid of it straight away.

raisydenton · 09/04/2020 11:52

e45 daily lotion in pump is great (got it on a yellow sticker). left my skin super plump. I have awful 'dusty legs'. and this seemed to cure it. I have to have a pump dispenser - so got the superdrug oat and coconut one. Its ok but not at good. Aveeno is expensive so never used it.

emma6776 · 10/04/2020 08:34

The Vaseline cocoa butter spray is a game changer. Sinks in so quickly and is really quick to use.

kmini · 10/04/2020 08:36

E45 in the blue bottle - ultra rich ones. Very dry skin too and once a day keeps on top of it

snowegg · 10/04/2020 10:35

All my Aveeno is in beige packaging

MrsSchadenfreude · 10/04/2020 10:37

La Roche Posay Lipikar. Also, Nip and Fab do one specifically for lizard legs.
