Decent moisturiser

Since lockdown, I appear to have turned into a reptile! My skin is so dry all over, including my scalp (yuk). So I've got some scalp oil that appears to be good. Just need to sort the rest of the body!

Are there any good moisturisers people could recommend?

Maybe use a serum/oil under your face cream, night and day.

Try Superdrug/Boots. The Superdrug Vitamin E range is pretty good. The do a day and night cream. They also do a serum and an eye cream plus their version of Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish.

Boots No7 do a very good range of serums and you can try their skin creams too. I have used their protect and Perfect serums and creams.

Of course it depends on your age.

You also need to look at diet. Reduce the amount of sugar, eat more oily fish, remember to drink enough water/herbal tea/etc. Eat fruit and veg.

Look for moisturising face masks/hair masks.

You have plenty to do during lockdown!

If you don't need anti ageing stuff just yet, don't buy it as some of it is quite drying I find.

If you don't fancy any of the above then there is Nivea - either the blue lid pot or the fancier ones like Q10 or something from Garnier or Loreal. Plenty to choose from! Have a look on other posts for more recommendations.

Thank you! Im 41 so anything anti aging is also a bonus.

Yes you're right, definitely need to look at my diet etc!

Drink more water I have consciously done this and I don’t drink enough and it has made my lips and skin less dry.
Nivea in the blue pot is really rich it was too rich for me when I was younger but it makes quite a good overnight mask since I hit 40.
Soap instead of shower gel is less drying to the skin
Superdrug vitamin e range is genuinely really good and nice smell texture, staying power and price. I use the whole range.
Use lots of product, body lotion and face creams.
I use an oil to mix in as well if I am particularly reptilian either apricot or jojoba.
Use a lot regularly daily and drink water you don’t have to spend lots of money just be consistent.
We’re not lush 25 years olds anymore girl with glowing skin after an all nighter and a splash of water......😭😭

I’m 43 and use clarins extra firming day cream and kiehls night cream. Love how both make it sink feel.
Also use the super restorative serum and sometimes the ordinary buffet serum.
I also drink a lot of water. That’s my main drink, I rarely drink anything else, maybe a Diet Coke twice a week if that. (Because I don’t like other drinks, I’m not on a health kick or anything)

Try Clinique Moisture Surge

I found Nivea blue pot to be a greasy mess. Ended up using the pot as a hand cream and it just sat on my hands and then used it on my feet.

Clairns on the other hand is lovely.

It makes you feel better!
