So, the grey roots will be coming through in a few weeks and I've got highlighted darker blonde hair. Will those L'Oréal/Josh Wood root sprays and pens damage my hair as temp cover ups? If they are going to actively screw up my hair, I'll avoid but if they are not damaging, I'd like to give them a shot to see how effective they are.

I have been going grey since my mid teens. I spent far to many years, time and money on getting my hair colored. After some health issues at 44 I decided to grow it out. Before then on many occasions I tried using the cover pens and little spray cans as my roots would grown in way to fast. I found them to be horrible. Made my hair tacky/unwashed feeling. The dye would transfer all over the place. I just didn’t think it was worth all the expense and hassle. I just ended up just letting it all go and stop cold turkey. I now have fully grey/silver hair which gets far more compliments than before and it’s so much healthier. Free yourself from dye. Never a better time to do it😊
