How do you pluck your eyebrows?

Ok I’m ashamed to say, I’m in my 30s and I’ve never really plucked my eyebrows! I could (sort of) get away with it when I was younger but I was looking at them earlier in the mirror and to put it simply, they are a complete mess.

Was just wondering if anyone had got any tips for plucking or if there is a method that you use that you could share? Thank you in advance.

Only pluck from under the brow!

Only pluck enough to tidy them up - don’t go overboard and remove too much.

Don’t try to get them to be identical to each other - eyebrows are sisters, not twins.

Thanks for the advice. Can I just ask, how do you know how far to pluck from underneath? Do you draw a line with eye pencil? Sorry I sound so clueless but I really don’t want to mess up!

I do it by sight...I can just tell how I want it to be, but I’ve been plucking them for about 30 years by now.

You could draw a line with eyeliner if it would help, I guess. Don’t try to change the shape of your eyebrow too much - go with the shape it naturally has.

If you can post a photo of your eyebrows it might be easier to advise you.

Youtube is your friend op, you don't need to follow their guides to a T and expect their immaculate eyebrows but their general tips are worth it in a practical sense. I have been paying more attention to my eyebrows this past year and finally happy with them. Started with getting them threaded but moved to paying more attention myself. I use an eyebrow razor (japanese steal thing) by tweezerman for above the eyebrows/forehead and the very centre between my eyebrows just to wipe out the masses, started with a wilkinson sword branded one at first. Then pluck the strays underneath and in the middle.

The razor isn't a razor as such, can't think of the proper name for them right now but the hairs do not come back worse. They are good for shaping the eyebrow evenly.

My eyebrows like to try be conjoined twins so I feel your pain with eyebrow maintenance. But once you get in the habit it becomes a quick 2-3 minute groom once a week or so. And I agree with sisters and not twins, very annoying but finally got them twinlike.

With under brow it is really easy to pluck the wrong hair and ending up with a small patch. I use a small eyebrow brush to brush the hair upwards but in general direction of growth. This allows you to see stray hairs close to the line more clearly. Most stray hair there will be further away from the brow though, also it separates the hairs so you don't accidentally pluck the wrong one. I also forgot to mention, I trim my brows but not very often. When you brush them upwards you see odd lengths so by brushing them then trimming a neat line above the brow/where you want the line to be it tidys the brows up.

Trimming is not needed I think but that is where I have progressed over time, so small steps at first might be good to start.

Just wait and go and get them waxed or threaded professionally

It's too painful and makes me sneeze to pluck them. I use veet strips, cut them into thinner strips and wax my brows. Lasts longer than plucking as well.

Wait until coronavirus settles down and you can get them done professionally. I get mine done professionally every few months and just try to maintain that shape in between but they always look much better when they have been professionally done.

Sorry, I should have said I get them professionally waxed every few months and then try and maintain that shape with tweezers.
